After speaking to my dealer in the week about my vRS order and not even getting on build date over 2 months down the line and will be "lucky" to get it for September, I cancelled my order, much arguing from Skoda but I just wasn't prepare to be fobed off anymore.

I've found a lovely 2nd hand Polo Gti with 6k miles for sale at basically the same price as the Fabia so bought that and weighing everything up I think it will be similar total cost of ownership, I'm upset not to be getting a VRS but happy to get a Polo Gti (and the amazing engine and gearbox still) I'll attach some pictures when I pick it up.

On the positive side, you'll probably lose less in depreciation.

Is that same as the basic list price for the Fabia or Fabia with 'vat-off'? If its the latter you did get a very good deal!

I should think being a 10/60 plate with that mileage it'll be around £16 grand still... so the same price as a new vRS at full price? No way you'll get one for £13 grand yet?

Some of us paid the full price and are still quite happy I got mine before the vRS became cool!

My fabia was specced up with sat nav and cruise and a shed load of other options, so basically 15.5k with the vat free offer on the road, and the polo was 16k so quite happy with that, although it doesn't have sat nav but I have gained parking sensors

Is it red and does it have coils 312mm brakes n a couple of other bits on for a guess if so you definately got a bargain and its been revo'ed.

A bloke on uk polos was selling it i would have been very tempted.

Yes - amazing car!

Meant to say, ordering and two months down the line not even receiving a build date is disgraceful. Think you did the right thing especially when you found such a good alternative.

I'm three months from date of order and still don't have a confirmed build date.

Ouch wonder why so long... mines due to be built in 9 days (would of been 8 weeks from order date) if everything goes to plan!
