Electric folding mirrors

Featured Replies

So, is it now absolutely definite that the Elegance trim with electric drivers seat positively gets electric folding door mirrors?

How about, The Elegance spec gets electrically adjustable door mirrors even when you didn't order them or any other options other than the TPM.

We got our Greenline ll only 9 days ago and it has these.

Such fun.

Dom.

I asked my dealer about electric folding mirrors and he said they were standard on the Elegance.

I picked up my elegance a week and a half ago, manual seat and folding mirrors. The dealer was surprised at handover as he'd not spotted these previously and he said that it must be a 2012 model as they are standard.

Picked up mine on the same day and my dealer pointed them out to me. As has been mentioned earlier the marking by the switch is almost impossible to see from the driving position.

I find looking at the switch actually helps in any new car, to find out how it works or what it does.

It means I don't need to look then when driving if I need to use it. ;)

ditto, though TBH so far I keep forgetting the yeti has folding mirrors :giggle:

I want this feature retrofitted in my Yeti, looked for the part information and gather the part number, would like to reconfirm these parts before I looks for cost and other

Front door driver controller 7N0 959 793 E

Front door passenger controller 7N0 959 792 E

Front driver side mirror 5L2 857 508 R MODEL PR+6XL + 7R7

front passenger side mirror 5L2 857 507 T MODEL PR-6XL + 7R7

and the Switch 1Z2 959 565 E color Black

This is for RHD Yeti, can any body confirm if this is right parts for auto folding mirrors without memory seat option, the current controller are with "A" rather than "E" and I believe they would not be able to accept the auto folding code.

Thanks,

Pramod

Thanks - that was the point I was trying to make. If the dealer had not pointed it out then I would have missed it until I looked in the manual ;-)

Yes - no badge change for MY12

Read somewhere that the new badge is on the new cars manufactured week 47/2011 onwards.

Thanks to this thread I have been merrily using the auto wing mirror folding using the key fob, still waiting for a chance to show of the auto window opening in public! Very glad that I got the folding mirrors as standard.

What is the difference between the old and new badges?

So I buy a car, wait 6-7months for delivery and 2 weeks or so later they change the badging on them, dating my car befor its two weeks old.

Brilliant! :'(

It is bad news for some people yes, but it has been in the public realm since February... Facelifts are always part of the course for any car and as such people need to be aware of these and haggle the appropriate discount when buying the car for this very reason.

Most people won't even realise the badge is different! It is only us "anoraks" that will notice.

+1.

There is no mention about the Skoda on the new badge. When having it you have always to tell to curious ones that your car is the Skoda.

OT: I like to have that L&K 1905-1925 Logo:

And for a few of your Scottish pounds my son, I will change the badges for you.

Freedie I may just take you up on that.

Ta! (Thank God I didn't say how many...)

I just noticed you have a Subaru did you not fancy a Forester or Impreza Diesel. I had a 22B followed by an RB5 and seriously thought about both of these, since ordering the Yeti in May I've questioned my sanity several times. Really enjoyed my Subarus never let me down once and the servicing was the best I have ever experienced.

My God! A 22B. Want/wanted one of those for my collection. Have been driven in one, have driven one... but never owned one. I don't know how you could follow that with an RB5? I suppose you were able to sell the 22B for so much more than you paid for it?

Yes I did consider both cars you mention. The Yeti I have ordered is pound for pound much better value than the Forester. I am hoping the reliabilty and service will be equal to Subaru... definitely agree with your point about that.

The good news is that I am not selling the WRX. That will be my version of everyone else's MX5 :giggle:

Many will know of my very long wait for the Yeti. It may be that things are at last moving forward. I now have a build week of 201140 :smirk: However... well I have seen dates come and go before.

The 22B was the only car I have ever made money on, sold to a Man Utd player now retired. It had to go as I needed 4 doors. The RB5 was just a simply brilliant car, it could do everything I ever required.

My Yeti is build week 43 so looking forward to that.
