Anyone know where to get these door modules except for the dealers and the bay !

i need these door modules too, anyone know where to get them from?

thanks..

U may want the mirror adjustment switch as it has additional position so you can manually fold the mirrors.

  • Author

Already have the switch and the mirrors

Just door modules now .!

I go the mirrors from the dealers !!

but they are twice the price of the mirrors !! & my dealer cant get them for my car for some reason !!emoticon-0106-crying.gif

do u have electric seats?

cause i hear the electric folding mirrors require the electric seats module to operate.

i also hear the required wiring looms isn't there by default.

I don´t have electric seats. Folding mirrors with key( keep pressing to close doors/windows) and interior switch.

Mirrors will fold back to position only if the drivers door is opened.

Ok,

If anyone can confirm for me

Driver side - 1K0959701AE

Passenger side - 1K0959702AE

Will work ?!

I don´t have electric seats. Folding mirrors with key( keep pressing to close doors/windows) and interior switch.

Mirrors will fold back to position only if the drivers door is opened.

i was told the folding mirrors use the same memory module as that used by the electric seats, in order for it to remember the different wing mirror positions.

just like how different seating positions r stored in memory with memory electric seats.

for example, when u press to close doors, how far does the wing mirror know to "close" before stopping?

similarly when u unlock, how far does the wing mirror know to "open" before stopping?

hence my question about electric seats.

I attempted to get folding mirrors on my new Octy vRS - because I know somebodyh managed to get them.

I was told no, so once I'd taken delivery I wrote to Skoda UK to have a bit of a moan and to ask about the possability of a retro-fit.

Skoda said that a retro-fit was just about possible, but he listed various bits & pieces that would be required and said that it was totally cost prohibitive.

So I get the idea that it isn't a simple matter of buying the mirrors and a couple of modules.

That only really makes sense for the mirror glass itself though, the mirror housings only need to be either fully-in or fully-out.

The dealers told me the same "cost prohibitive" story about retro-fitting front fogs to my 2011 octy, I had guesstimate quotes from them ranging from £1k to £4k. Thus far Its cost a total of £140 for all the parts required and Ben@shark will be wiring in and coding on Monday.

To be fair Maxidot has never been an issue.

When I wanted it retro-fitting to my Mk2. Octy I have 3 dealers willing to do it.

With regards your folding mirrors I'm just not convinced you've thought of all the parts you need.

But we await your results and then instructions on doing it all.

You know he's referring to the parts for his foglight retro-fit, right?

D'OH !:giggle:

In Portugal all Elegance, Sportline and RS models come with folding mirrors.

The Ambition model, cannot confirm the Greenline model, is an option of 20€.

I know this because the salesman told me the price and added to the list just in case it did not come as standard( maybe one change of week 22/2010)

But all elegance models kept coming with folding mirrors soo did not pay the 20€.
