you wont be disappointed, ive had them on the back for a while and just had them fitted on the front as well for £120 each.

Just about to replace the ContiSP3's on mine and very impressed with there ability in all weather conditions.

Cheapest I can find them is at TyreFitdirect @£128ea inc fitting and that is for the 225/40/18 Y (92 Extra Load) Version.

£116.28 at Clickontyres! They were cheapest for my Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's too.

Good price if you live near the depot, but it doesnt include fitting and balancing which the other company does at either work or home.:)

Yes, I'm getting a couple of new conti sport 3's for the front next week (been using them for a couple of years, great grip in the wet) - you can get them fitted for £135 each at Kwik Fit at the moment if you pay online and book a fitting day first which is a very good price for a high street fitter.

Also looking to get 4 winter tyres ordered now before the prices go up and swap them at the end of October, cheapest half decent ones I can find are Avon Ice Tourer ST (225/40 18) for around £120 ea delivered from Camskill, anyone know of anything cheaper? I'd like the conti winter contacts but they seem really expensive by comparison. Incidentally, I've decided to go for 18" winter tyres on existing rims rather than get 15 or 16" steels from the dealer even though the tyres are then a lot cheaper...

any reason why you are not going for the 16inch winter?

any reason why you are not going for the 16inch winter?

Because it was going to work out at £700-800 all in for new 16" steels (from the dealer) and tyres, while the 18" avons will be £480, so it seemed the more economical option, and while I realie 18" winter tyres are pricey compared to 16", as I should only have them on for four months or so they should hopefully last a few years so the price difference doesn't justify the extra costs of new steel rims to me.

Or you could look elsewhere and pick up a set of suitable (there are 100s of em in the VAG range) 16" alloys or steelies for peanuts, pay far less for winter tyres and not have to fork out twice a year to get your tyres swapped over (and risk your alloys getting damaged each time).

16" higher profile winter tyres will also be significantly more effective than 18" low profiles.

Bought some Audi A6 alloys from ebay (£100)

4 Khumo Winter Tyres (205/55/16) from Camskill £46 each

Fitting £40

You need to shop around

Were they the KW23s you got Chris? Stock seems to come in around Aug/Sept time on winter spec.

Hi all.

Just had a set of four Continental Sport Contact 3's fitted and what a difference its made.

My car is much quieter than it was and just feels better to drive.Next job is to get a wheel alignment check and refurb the wheels.

Mark.
