Sorry to hear about the puncture, typically I had exactly the same problem, in fact, within 6 months of me getting my Octy, all 4 tyres had been plugged (bloody industrial estates)

I didn't get Maxidot with my wifes fabia, or with my Octy, and to be honest have not worried about it one bit.

My wife has that 105 engine in her Fabia, but she has the SE trim. Its a great little engine, and is due its 1st service next week, 1 year old, 7000 miles, not 1 drop of oil added.

My Octy on the other hand, has used 1 liter of oil in 9000 miles and 10 months of use

And of course, don't let these first niggles get you down, that is an amazing looking car, will be turning plenty of heads, and will last you for many years to come!
