Recommended Posts

Depending on what your on variable or fixed.

I'm on variable but still do an oil change in between

I use Fuchs 5w40

or Millers http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-60213-millers-oils-xfs-5w-40-full-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx

Thought it needed 5w30?

now adays the numbers (5w30) dont mean ALOT. - its more to do with what specifications that oil has passed

If your not sure, you can put your registration into www.eurocaraparts.com and it will recomend an oil.

Remember the 25% online, BriSkoda members discount.

It's in manual, and for 2.0TSI vRS you are suppose to use VW 504 00 (for variable service interval) or VW 502 00 (for fixed service interval). If you stick with Castrol, then their Edge 5w-30 is compatible with VW 504 00, and Edge Sport 0W-40, Edge 0W-30 and Edge 5W-40 are compatible with VW 502 00. So personally I stick with these oils (Edge 0W-30 in particular).

Good choice with the Fuchs. I nearly went for this oil but chose the triple ester 5w-40 cfs in the end.

Yeh if your running stage 3 mate the CFS is a good oil at that power. B)

Im collecting my new (well six month old) petrol VRS on friday! I asked them to give it an oil change, as I will only be going 4/5 miles to work and back each day I have moved onto the annual service plan was this the right call or should I stick with Long life?

Finally with annual servicing which top up Oil should I use?

Hope this makes some sense!

Speak to your local TPS site, they will do you the recommended 5w30 LL3 oil for £26.80 plus VAT.

It is blended by Castrol, and it is the exact same oil they use in dealerships.

I took my vrs petrol into Skoda Corfe Mullen the other week when they were having an oil barrel delivery, Mobil 1 0W30 seems to be their oil of choice, not a bad oil to use. I found an ebay seller selling x10 1 litre bottles of Mobil 1 0w30 recently for £70, I'm using that at the moment, seems to be fine!
