My Rs Performance Update No.1

Featured Replies

Mannyo,

I have had similar problems with my Milltek mountings. Suggest you get some extra strong clamps for the pipe into the silencer as the silencer has a tendency to twist on the pipe and mine is still a slight angle. Also check that the system is as far forward as it will go as otherwise the pipe will hit the rear axle beam with any load at ll in the car or any bumps. Really need some extra sttong clamps at the front join with the CAT as well otherwise the engine twist can pull it out of the pipe. There is a modified pendulm mount available from Audi. Let me know if you want the part number.

Would be very interested to see results Mike can achieve tkaing into account the Miltek sports CAT. Can you post or PM the torque curves?

of my oustanding points,

1) should be sorted this weekend, as long as my skoda dealer gets the gasket from skoda by then.

2) I sent an email to milltek, and they are sending me the missing bolt/washer to fix the rear mount

3) hmm, guess I will have to put up with it till I can find out which bit of the dash is rattling.

the dash rattle.....

mine seemed to rattle when i first got the milltek... ?but has gone now..i blamed the downpipe?

Paul,

Just seen the pic of your miltek backbox. I noticed it fills the cutout far better, do you know how they got the pipes to sit higher in the coutout, mine seems quiet low by comparison

i kicked it.... no seriouslyt... ididnt fit it.. its going in to be adjusted cos it bangs...

Manny,

That is like mine is now. You will have to get it realigned further forward onto the CAT section (and it used to banged on the rear axle beam like Paul said) and then the tail pipes will sit higher.

The bolt you want is a longer 13 mm bolt I got the garage to fit. The std ones are too short. Dont forget to get some stronger clamps, ask Milltek for those. If I can help more email me.

Hi guys,

(it's been a long time...)

Your lights please (this goes mainly to Manny).

It's about the Milltek system.

I checked with AMD and they can send me here (Greece) and the price is good..

Well it's very difficult here to find info for these systems since there is no dealer, etc.

Have you any details for the diameter of the DP, cat back, etc?

Are you happy with the quality of the product? (i see your posts about the alignment - fitting...)

The DP has the cat also embedded or cat is a separate piece?

Any CEL's due to the sport cat now?

Any photo under the car Manny?

Any of you with only the cat back system? opinions for this only?

I'm thinking for it after my next weeks chip installation (Revo SPS1) so your help is appreciated.

(any with RS & Revo setup?,,comments ?).

Thanks, :)

Welcome back Loukas

I dont have any pics of the underside yet, I'll take some at the weekend when its back up on the ramps.

The DP and Cat are combined into one piece, then you have another 3 sections. The centre box plugs into the cat/dp. Then there is a bendy pipe that goes over the axle, then the backbox is attached to that.

Manny thanks

Here are the reply from AMD of the cost (full system).

Does not include VAT.

Do you find dealer with better prices? If yes, can you send me his details to contact him?

.....

The cost are

Paul, can I combine those 2 posts for you - or is this something to do with number of posts.....? :p

PS I will of course then delete this post.

you can combine if you like.. was just less hassle to post again

Loukas.

It is 2.25 inches diameter throughout. The lambda sensors plug into the points on the Sport CAT. There are no CEL light problems.

I did think of having the Sports CAT only but it doesnt make any sense to have it choked into a smaller diameter rear section.

I am very pleased with the quality. It is warrantied for life.

You have to get it fitted correctly has been my only problem.

It does allow the engine to rev much easier and so has a better top end.

Took the RS back to the tyre/exhaust place today, and after a few mins of pipe juggling I have the exhaust just right. Doesnt stick out to much and now fills the cutout.

10/10 to Milltek cust. services, got the missing bolts and washers and I put them on today.

The annoying rattle seems to have gone now too. Still waiting on the gasket, Thats skoda parts supplies for you I suppose.

Thank for the replies Guys,

2,25 inch? thats 57mm internal diameter (stock is 50mm??). I thought that Miltek was 63mm (2,5inch) ...anyway.

Tomorow i'm going REVO ...(SPS1 4bar version) so i just bought the proper Bosch FPR (P/N 078 133 534 C).

Does any of you have expirience with this setup?

(sorry for asking..but it't difficult to read all posts, if it was answered before) :)
