Ice Cold in Alex

The Longest Day

The Dam Busters

Sands of Iwo Juma

Bat 21

Battle of Britain

Sharpe's Waterloo

300

Aliens (Look, it's one of the best squad combat films ever made)

Tobruk (ok, maybe not that good, but it was the first film I saw on a colour Tv).

Ok, that's one zero.

Flight of the Intruder (partly a fictionalised version of Bat 21)

Where Eagles Dare

The Guns of Navarone

633 Squadron (if you like this, Mosquito Squadron is based on another of Frederick E Smith's 633 Sqdn books, and a fictional use of the actually prototyped Highball mine)

Battle of the Bulge

The Bridge at Remagen (again not terrific, but AFAIK the only film ever to use Shermans in the intended fire support role).

And did I remember to mention "Ice Cold in Alex" yet? :giggle:
