Brit Fabia vRS owner in Denmark

Featured Replies

Hello Briskoda

I bought my Fabia vRS in December 2003 and have now done about 40K kms. In Denmark with 180% car tax there is nothing that can compete with it's performance for the price.

I'm like the cars performance but miss the boot space of the Octavia I owned before, I had a 90 BHP TDI.

Danish car mags report the Fabia vRS as having nearly 150 BHP as standard, can anyone confirm this?

Recently I ripped the plastic motor under tray of my car after having got stuck in a snow drift, does anyone know what this tray is actually supposed to do and if I should get mine replaced?

Anyway, looking forward to browsing the forums.

Cheers, Mark.

Hi Mark,

I'm collecting my Fabia VRS tomorrow... having waited since early December. I have imported a few cars from Denmark to the UK in the last few years. The exchange rate ain't so good at the moment otherwise I would have considered importing this time. The Danes really pay through the nose for their cars. Superb roads, superb public transport and very friendly people ... must pop back over to Copenhagen soon.

Cheers

Paul

Hello & Welcome :wavey:

It appears that the Furby ( in most cases ) is greater than the 130BHP quoted by Skoda, when put on a rolling road, however this figures vary wildly depending on which RR it goes on.

Myself and Chavyboy have cars that are only 3 months apart in age, but the RR figures are only approx 1bhp different.

IIRC this will most likely be a guard, the answer is YES replace it if you want to keep your car in tip top spec.

As well as being a guard it may be necessary (as in the case of the MX-5) to ensure proper airflow through the area, particularly thinking of the radiator...

I ripped mine off recently on a tree stump and had to have the wheel arch liners replaced too as they're all connected.
