Like right hand gate turns through gate posts...hehe that wasa brillian moment for me looking back, not sure you actually enjoyed it all that much :D

On each venue I was faster on the first pass (bar bowood) after I had seen the dangers the second one was much slower :D

Might be looking for a co-dirver/passenger/driver/chinwag/roundabout balast, not sure the SO is totlaly convinced it'sa gentle run out with classic motors.

My eyesight is not that knackered... yet. I passed my driving test without them, but then I had an eyetest, and the bas5tards told me I wasn't legally allowed to drive home... But I did anyway. What? You think I'm going to leave my car and walk? You must be joking!!! :D

One is available .... ;)

I didn't want to mention the gatepost incident again ...... :p but you're right, it was one of the highlights of the day :D

Hmmm. I was thinking the same thing actually. Doesn't make me a woman though I hope. Anyway, If I wanted a gentle run I'd take my little sis out for some driving practise. Or get behind a caravan on the motorway.

This will be my first such "event" and I'm looking forward to it quite a lot. I only hope it doesn't make my four weeks in France pass any quicker... The beer/wine will do that for me! :dtp:

I only got told to slow down once. At Bowood where it went downhill through 2 stone gateposts, grass down the centre and gravel on the road. I booted it hard through there and all I heard was "****, mind the ****ing gateposts! Oh **** theres gravel on the road! You mad ****!" That was on the first pass, second one was quicker as I knew where it went and my co-driver, Mr Magoo, didn't try to get me to stop at the final chicane 'cos he'd miss read the notes

Mr Magoo: "OK its the ned of the stage"

Me: Slows down, looks at notes in his hands and accelerates

Mr Magoo: "OI, its the end of the stage"

Me: Nah, its a chicane

MM: No its the end

Me: You sure? I think its a chicane

MM: Its the end

Me: Tisn't, see the road goes on

MM: B******s! Sorry mate

Oh what fun we had! :D

It sounds like expletives are the order of the day. I shall update my extensive vocabulary in readiness! :cussing:

I don't think they are the order of the day, just my passenger didn't appreciate heading slighly off line towards a concrete post at about 80mph! Well, we were quicker second time around, even though we borrowed Des' sack of spuds (sorry, co-driver) :D

Ok - I shall keep them for those "put your ******* foot down!" moments. I think most of my time will be spent indulging in those EVIL laughs!

Jon,

I remember the herd of deer from last time. The cry of deer from Wendy followed by 30 or 40 running across the road in front of me was slightly worrying but sitting there while they passed knowing you were next was worse & the sight of a "looney" in a skud in the mirror surrounded by a cloud of gravel etc confirmed my fears. Thankfully you stopped rather than trying to pass or you might of had Bambi on the bonnet

And you managed to catch me again before the end of the stage.

Im going to run this one past the "co-driver" & if we can skip the Saturday night stop & drive home to get here late Saturday it might just be that we can come, seems a shame to miss it as the last one was such good fun

Well apart from stories of that last bend at Prescott I didn't hear anything bad about it on the last one, Des ...

Me too - looking that is for anybody who can put up with Radio 2 at 100 miles an hour.

If we can get another interested party we can sort it out on the day ....

I would really love to come as a co-driver, but there is no way I'd be able to justify the

I meant to say, justify it when I don't have a job...

Yeah, Q. Jon has offered the same thing to myself. I'll still look to contribute toward some of the fuel / food / beer or something. I'm looking forward to a really nice day / weekend away - plus its really SO close to home that I'd be a fool to turn down the offer! Plus it'll be my first RS experience, so that's also something to really look forward to!

(I doubt I'll get the opportunity to see for myself??, please? pretty please? with sugar on top?) I can just hear the reply... "GET TO ****!" :D

But I would feel very much obliged to pay towards the fun and share the costs... Blame my parents for it ;):D

edit: just seen Jasons reply, but I guess I could ofcourse offer something in the same way, petrol, beer (not on the job ofcourse ;)), food, etc... Sus my guild a bit.
