Rpm Late Summer Tour

Featured Replies

Well the CEO thought it was a very bad idea of me to go and join you, so I did what every married man does... I cried! ;)

And then she said, "oh, well ok then" :D

So, count me in!

Q.

Oh, and I already wave at Transit drivers... But I'm sure waving with a closed fist means the same here as it does in Holland ;)

Of course a cup of tea at lunch I shall not say no too ;)

Just arrange lifts as before...

Q

You may feel the need to wear a lid if you can get hold of one. ;)

Des

A lid? Is that the same as one of these?

Or is it something more sinister?

A bash hat, a skid lid, a crash helmet. Not that I intend to crash.

What is that blue thing?

Oh I need a full name for the entry form.

Cheers m8

If Denis is available , then he is more than welcome .

Question for all those going, Do we want to run together as last time, I thought it was good fun.

If yes should we talk to the organisers & see if we can be entered to run one after the other

And if yes PLEASE can we request to be some of the later starters. It looks like I can work it to drive back from the South of France through Saturday getting home at about 11:30 but would prefer to be a tadge later starting on Sunday.

Also If we have lower numbers should someone else enter late they can probably run with us

Ah! I'll see if I can dig one up/beg/steal/borrow...

The bag is a air-sickness bag btw ;)

My full name is Quinten Uijldert but even I can't pronounce it :D

Q.

Posted my entry form off this morning :D

Wooooooo Hooooooo!:D :D :D

with me on it? :D

PS: France is looming closer. I got a few Frenchy type books for tourists off the bloke I do gardening for. One is for business French, so I can do my yuppy bit out there... :)

Cheers

Likewise with Nicks name upon it...

Yes Jason, your name is on the form

I can't wait, if its anything like last time it'll be jolly good fun :D Particularly looking forward to the tarmac rally stages :D

Stuart, yeah would be good to all be together. IIRC they did it by car age last time, so we should all be fairly close together, not that the numbers actually meant anything. After the first venue, it was pretty much whatever order you got to the start of the next one.

Could people bring PMRs this time? Useful if travelling in convoy, even if its just to have a chat.

I've been hammering my car around bends at top possible speed in readiness for some good tarmac stages... Brought some squeals from my passengers I can say (positive ones, I think....)

Thats it now! my four weeks in France are going to pass so quick now, this is planned! :)

Woohoo! Thanks Colin.

:bouncer:

I'm also looking forward to meeting some of those who didn't make the NEC meet in May. Are we going to arrange a convoy start somewhere on the M5/M4 crossing into Wales? Could be interesting seeing a convoy of Skodas go through the Severn toll booths...

He he, people behind me will be able to watch mine flame away from the booths :D

I had flames hitting the bottom of the tailgate at the weekend, you can see a little flame marking all up the bumper :D :D :D

Right, mental note to self... Do not tailgate Jon :D

They didn't come straight out, they started to and then the aerodynamics made them sort of curl up the bumper :D

Also had little flame in the exhaust on the over run as well :D

I was really happy, like a kid with a new toy.

Big question, will Des fit a flamer kit to his???

Or will he do the decent thing and fit a full decat :D

PS Anyone know if you can get a standalone anti-lag kit or does it have to go through the normal ECU :D

So, Jon. Do I need to bring along an asbestos fire-proof suit with me? perhaps some of that fire-proof compound to smear on exposed skin?

Hmmm?

(or maybe I just need that when looking in the boot and you're testing the engine)
