Special metallic paints, anyone?

Recommended Posts

Maybe it was already discussed here, so I apologize for a duplicity in advance.

On my recent short trip to Prague, as an Octavia owner, I couldn't help but notice all those Skodas being driven with pride in their country of origin.

One Octavia really stood out, since it was painted in absolutely stunning metallic colour- as I found out on Czech Skoda website, it is called Marrone Brown or Amber Brown.Pure class. Anyway, my point is, Skoda in CZ is offering 50 (fifty!!!) additional/special paints for all their models, including RS range. Anyone fancies OctaviaRS in Baby Pink? Check it out here:

Skoda charges an extra 25% for this Special Paint (15.000 CZK). Does anyone have any info if UK or Irish dealers are offering those colours at the moments? For those lucky enough to be in the process of choosing their new Skoda, don't be shy to ask your dealer about those options.

Don't like any of those.

Why no proper grey, like those worthersee concepts? WTF is the point of showing those if the dont make the option available!? Is not like they'd have to formulate something new even, that colour (or something similar) was offered on the mk1 TT - as "aviator" grey...

I've always thought that the vRS would look good in British Racing Green.

Couldn't agree more!

They did the standard O2 in Highland Green for a while - only ever seen one, and that was a photo. I love BRG on a car...

BTW, I think these special colours are for fleet buyers, not for one-offs.

I notice the Irish Configarator now has Rallye Green Metalic and Steel Grey Metalic as an option but the UK one doesn't
