Average MPG in the time you've owned your Fabia vRS...

Featured Replies

Just wondering what everyone's mpg figure is for the total time they have owned the car, who's is the highest, lowest, suppose it would be a tell-tale for the style of driving for each owner, although I do enjoy 'sending her on a bit' and still my mpg for the 6 months of ownership is 49.7, which I thought was pretty good, still like to see the current trip mpg at 50+, brings a wee smile to my face... :D

Only just through my first tank of diesel, but mine was sitting at somewhere around the 39mpg IIRC when I filled it up. Unfortunately I do a lot of city driving, hence the relatively low figure...

I'm not the most conservative of drivers either, but I'm keeping under the 3k revs for the 1st 1000 as per my 'running-in' plan :)

Hardest three weeks of my life waiting until the beast could be fully unleashed, apart from the waiting for the car to be delivered in the first place... :D

48.9MPG over 12000miles :D

Kansalis, you only need to be nice for 600! It's in the manual :)

Well I'd rather be a little more on the cautious side. It's not like you have to drive like a grandad when staying below the 3k in a vRS is it! :)

:iagree:

Have 640miles on mine now and still keeping below 3k rpm.

Also having the oil changed on Saturday. After that I will let her rip!

**Edit** Oh and my average is 50.2mpg so far

5500 miles on mine now and seems to be averaging about 47.5mpg. Can just about get 51 if I'm careful and I know I've been having a bit too much fun if it goes below 40!

first 10k total ave 52 mpg next 10-20k 50.9mpg foot most on a motorway

Generally I dont see more than 21!

Oops - didnt check which forum this thread was started in.....sorry :o

I averaged 54 mpg on my last tank full, mainly on twisty country back roads with a little city driving. I find it hard to be gentle with the pedal though :D

EDIT - No mods of any kind.

Nearly 18k on mine now, average MPG is usually ~ 38 MPG

Edit: Thats standard.

Thing is - it's all great posting mpg but please also include if you have mods - a cupra intake knocks out 2..3 mpg without any further changes to the car, let alone if/when it's modded ;)

3000 miles now.On the trip computer 2 the last 1300 miles showed an average of 41.

I welly the bugger everywhere I can :D

Around 45 day-to-day, up to 50 if I'm taking a long trip. I don't hang about, but it's obvious the mpg goes up on a long run

PS: That's over about 10000 miles / 6 months of ownership

Avg = 48mpg. Standard car, mix of motorway and A roads, curently at 4000 miles.

I get 35-40 on the way in to work, 30 miles... mainly motorway.

...and 45-50 on the way home from work.

Avg = 41. Revo'd... :D

RCe

10,000 miles in 5 months and ive averaged 43mpg. It gets treated next week to a service and

Just over a week of ownership, 1,000 miles and I'm averaging 47mpg.

I do 120 miles a day (for sins committed in a previous life). Approx 90 of which is motorway and 30 is city driving.

It's a real bugger in when I see the journey MPG reach as high as 53mpg before hitting the mornings traffic jam on the M25. I then sit in a bumper-to-bumper snail pace trawl into the centre of London by which time the mpg has plumeted to 46mpg.

I used to do 130 miles a day round trip Portrush (North Coast of NI) to Belfast and back, motorway pretty much the whole way, mpg usually around 51.2, am now travelling 14 miles a day and getting the train the rest of the way to work, mpg has gone down to around 49...

Mid to high 30's after a remap, my right foot seems to of become heavier :D

standard - 47-50 over 30K miles. Thats 80% motorway miles between 70-90mph where permitted (i.e. germany).

Can get 65mpg if i do 65 on a motorway for any period of time.

Std. VRS, no mods unless you count the rear lights.

9months old, just over 10k miles (5k as demonstrator & 5k of my own) and 45.1MPG

Interestingly drove from Ayr to Livingston last Sunday and decided to see what the best MPG I could get by driving sensibly i.e. keeping to speed limits and 75 on motorway, result 59.8mpg on a 150mile round trip ( just couldn't get it to the 60MPG figure ).

40mpg over 7k.
