Samsung Galaxy S2 - Any good?

Featured Replies

Not sure about the maths side of things, but, am currently upgrading my (rubbish) iPhone 4 for the galaxy S2. Appears to be a lot better phone for the contract price!!

Yup, still enjoying mine, and the battery life is fine unless you're using it all the time, like I was the other day when I was a passenger for 350 miles in a car! No complaints so far!

As for the calculator, mine appears to work fine, and if I want +20% I multiply by 1.2, which gives the correct answer.

Yep my formula , pete8tch +s2 = 10 its a very good phone

I'm gonna wait till the samsung/google nexus prime comes out before i make a decion. Though i am getting a lil worried about this bit

Andy Rubin, Google's head of mobile, says: "We rethought how you browse your contacts with the new People app, which combines high-resolution photos and updates from Google+ and other social services*. It's also easier to capture and share your life with family and friends."
I'm not on any social services* (*or networks as i think he ment). I just use the net to browse and relax if anyone wants to contact me they can phone txt or email me and i'm not bothered how many times someone had a pee or what ever they write on face book or twitter lol

All those lovely hi rez photos are going to do wonders for the mob operators as you go waaaaay over your monthly data limit trying to download them.

A friend has just added one to her emails as a sig, 7.7MB!!!!!!

As with everything, the data is all about how much you use it. Having only had mine a month I've just cheked my data for the month. I've only used 250mb or so, so about half what I pay for. I make sure I use wifi as much as possible, and try to only use 'mobile sites' rather than having to download full pages.
