Liverpool area, I searched all the confuse the market sites and even went to a local broker, he said the local area is very bad for insurance, the area itself isnt too bad, but there are lots of cars stolen by scrotes from other areas, coming here to take stuff.

When I first got the car LV was offering me about £700 but as I only had a few months left on my old one it was competitive to stick with DL. When it came timr to change over, they all started quoting mad prices.

We have an 11 plate VRS in race blue, my wife and I are both 39 and we currently pay £330 with 9 years plus ncd and I have the mileage limited to 5,000 a year. Car is called Bob as we just bob here and there in it. Use a Yeti for everyday driving.

i'm going for a very basic spec, black magic paint, black wheels, glasses case and cruise! i was going to chose rear electric windows then i thought how often do i actually carry more than 1 passengers, about once every 3 months so i couldn't justify them.

I have no trouble parking (used to drive vans) and visibility is decent. I got them for a few reasons the main one being that I hadn't seen another vRS estate without them at the time. Plus I parallel park into my drive sometimes. It's not hard to do it's just there's a flowerbed with low wall at the back of it which is at an angle. Just wanted to be sure I wouldn't hit it that's all. After all it is a new car. There's a small row of slabs the rear wheels go over too. My routine is to feel when I'm over the slabs and by that time the diagram on the stereo shows me exactly which part of the bumper is closest to the wall and how far back I can still go.

To put it another way (paraphrasing Clarkson) it's like having a watch that can go 100meters below sea level. I'm never going to go down that far but it's nice to know I'm fine to drop it in the sink.
