Yeah, I had 1.2 06plate corsa (now track car haha) paid £550 for insurance and only pay £620 for vrs, which I think strange but my mate bought a polo gti brand new and pays £600

20 yo, VRS, and yeah, my insurance went down when I switched from a 1.4 Corsa. Makes no sense but i sure as hell wasn't complaining!

I'm 21 brought it when I was 20 and the insurance on a fiesta flight mk5 1 .3 was 1050 and the vrs is 950 with legal and emergency hire car cover ( some idiot crashed into me last year and I had to pay 230 to enterprise for insurance)

I feel very much in the middle of these age ranges, being "only" 34.

I was driving a 1.6 Ford Fiesta Zetec S TDCi and my insurance for my 2nd year was 1100 ish then i swap over to my vRS and got a refund of £75 So when i come to re-new my policy im sure it will be down in the 600-700
