Finally got maxidot fitted on FL 1.6 CR Elegance.

AFAIK two other Briskoda members have got this retrofitted in an FL model. one from India and the other from Ireland.

I was not aware that you could change music tracks with normal controls (washer stick unit). Thats a bonus:)

Now just needs to code bluetooth unit (5K0) to it.

The next project would be Auto light retrofit. Any ideas where I can source one cheaper than dealer (£60). Skodateile including postage and money transfer charges would be more or less the same cost.

I'm guessing those are before and after shots as the first looks like a standard non-maxidot display on a FL.

Car is only 15 months old. Did not check with dealer about warranty as the cluster was provided so I assume any cluster problems will not be covered.

As mentioned above the first picture is from standard unit and the next two from maxidot.

Great job looks the part glad I didn't have to go to the hassle though and fought to get mine added to order just before build date. Maxidot sets it off nicely :thumbup:

What sort of price will the maxidot cost to supply and fit.Went into dealership to ask and they told me about eight hundred odd quid as the controller on my car would need to be changed to accept this plus steering wheel??????????

If it were reasonably cheap and someone in the north west has the skill would love to have one.

No need to change the right washer stick. The bottoms on the end will do the job. I do not have MFSW. Did not change anything else.

Sorry for bumping this old thread but I thought it was not possible to retrofit a maxidot in a Octavia MK2???

I just got my pre-Reg VRS yesterday and the only option that I really miss is the Maxidot so very interested to find out which dealers could do it...

Yes.

 

A dealer can fit a brand new cluster.

 

You'll need a specialist to fit a used cluster as they'll need to correct the mileage and also sort the immobiliser
