Shake, Rattle and Moan

Had the car in yesterday, test drove it with the service manager, pointed out the dash rattle, the squeeky accelerator pedal and the juddering rear wiper.

Collected it that evening and told all was well.

Drove it home and the pedal and dash rattle were still there.

Next morning comes and now in the light I can see a nice dint from a mechanics screwdriver in the dash surround and WD40 all over the dash.

Can't be ####d to complain, bit sick now.

Oh and now when you press on the insert of the instrument binnacle it comes loose and out so at least I can put some foam in and fix it myself.

No wonder it rattles, its not screwed in just held by 7 metal clips against hard plastic.

Oh and it came back with a clip missing too.

Happy driver, I think not.

Never mind, stereo is going permanently on to FULL BLAST

ive got a funny creak/crack in the back of my chair each time you push back into it :(

dealer looked/fixed today but its no better so getting a new back unit next week, not bad service if that cures it

Maker of happy drivers.... seems not

Love their marketing departments claims though

"What does being a happy driver mean to you?

Here at Å koda, our goal is to ensure that anyone

who experiences a Å koda has a happy experience.

Right from the design stage, through the buying

experience, to the after sales service, we want our

customers to be happy with their Å koda vehicle.

The happiness of our customers is central to all we

do here at Škoda, and that’s no empty claim"

Well I am a Roomster owner, but please take a look at my post of cracking and rattling and you may find posts #9 and #13 helpful. At post #13 please read the off topic comment right below the photos. Since then no more rattles except the expected ones when driving over uneven and cracked tarmac roads.

I am still having an annoying sound like a brief hit between two metal pieces, coming from the back (boot) when I am going over bumps or during some steep corners. I've completely emptied the boot hoping it was something I had left there, I removed the spare wheel and the tools also but it still there... So I start to think it may be something that needs to be seen by the dealer... :(

Thanks for the advice mate although I think I need some sort of felt to sort the dashboard out. Any one know where to get some
