The front Brembos have found a new home with another Briskoda member, and been replaced by a set of Cupra K1 calipers (same as VW R32)

 

Which, in turn, meant there was more than enough  room to fit the Rays Superior ES in 19" x 8" ET43, shod with 225/35/19 Nexen N'Fera SU1 rubber

I thought all vRS came dual zone climate and 4x elec windows as standard?

It was an oddity, Sam

It came in the transition between PD and CR engines, and was one of the first to come with DSG, but didn't come with 18s, climatronic, jumbo box and rear electric windows

Still to this don't know the answer why - I may have to query it with Skoda to see if they can explain it

You are, Chris, it definitely started life as a vRS

You must be getting confused with the Fabia, which started out as a 1.6 TDi Elegance

I wasn't made aware if it was, and coming from a main dealer I naturally assumed it was a UK car

I'll send the chassis number to Skoda UK and ask them to make some enquiries......I know it's like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted as it's nearly 6 years old

Yes, it's not like you can return it to stock and swap it.

It was, they wouldn't fit over the Brembos, and I liked the wheels more

 

I know thin spokes aren't everyone's cup of tea, but they float my boat

That was the spec when the mk2 was initially launched, I remember being a little miffed when they beacame standard ( I had an 07 mk2 vRS PD Race blue) as usual they added a few extras to the standard equipment list as the model dated to keep it interesting and offer VFM.

Wheels are nice, it's the graphics I don't get, cigarette advertising was banned in Motorsport years ago, unless you were trying to make the Skoda look like an F1 car
