Ive kerbed my Black alloys :'(

Featured Replies

you're req'd by law to allow it to safely pass but that doesnt mean by leaving the road which is why i wouldn't mount the kerb unless it was safe to do so

I don't think anyone is suggesting flying up the kerb at 40mph and driving down the pavement. But when stationary traffic is backed up then sometimes the only option is to mount the kerb to allow enough room to let the ambulance though.

I had a heart attack 7 years ago aged 35 after severe food poisoning. I was in the Ambulance 12 minutes and it felt like 12 days. Not only did that response save my life it also limited what permanent damage was done to my heart. I went on a rehabilitation program and met many people who had gone through similar and worse experiences and you quickly realise that minutes and seconds really do matter.

Cheers

Lee

since I saw the pic, it happened :p and ye it is nasty too, Id go for a new one and put that as a spare. careful dude ;)

If you were close enough i'd buy it off you B)

+1

Some things are totally inappropriate to make fun of... It's very easy to say silly things when we don't know the guy in the back. I just can't forget how it felt when I was following the ambulance with a relative inside having passed out...

Also, it shouldn't be a problem to move aside when an ambulance needs to pass through as the Fabia is tall enough anyway, just don't panic and do it correctly...

Newbie69 you pickin one again lol, have you seen SIRENS ;)

Well again it's your problem as either you meant what you've just said which is just stupid and dangerous, or you were "making fun of" which only proves a terrible sense of humour... If you look again, you will see that I was not the first one to notice, logiclee also replied in the same spirit but you seem to have a crush on me lately... :dull:

how about spending £60 before you curb your alloys, anyone tried www.alloygator.com

Quite useful, the benefit of hindsight is a beautiful thing.

Also the gater would cover the diamond cut silver edge on the black alloys (which im actually quite a fan of)

That's it I'm going to fit blue lights on my fabia I will get around the traffic quicker, get them to climb the pavement and wreck their wheels ;)

I don't think Seboni has a crush on you,

i think he just likes to be a little different from the norm.

Mind you Newbie, we've had a few run ins in the past. but we kissed and made up i believe.

But yes i also think Seboni121's comment was a little ill thought out. i guess he was just trying to give the other side of the arguement as opposed to saying he would actually act like that in real life.

we hope at least

The problem with Alloygators (especially the coloured ones) is that there is no better way to tell the world that you can't park :giggle:

Not to mention putting alloy gaters on would hide the edge aswell.

And they just seam like asking for trouble if they were to remove themselfs while your driving.

++100% everything taken tooooo seriously lighten up for gods sake, we'll all be dead soon let's get some perspective on life have a laugh n just chill , Thanx sooner I think you understand we're I'm coming from . Just jesting

I kerbed my black alloys also, alothough wasn't as bad as yours, as mine didnt go too far into the black, it cos me £40 for a quick touchup, which essentially increased the silver edge around the damaged area, but no-one would really notice whitout being told. Also i was quoted £70 for a full refurb/rebuild on my damage but even the specialist said that would be a waste of money.
