I would like to hear your impressions about the Must-Have optionals you would choose for the new Octavia.

Also , does anyone here sees the point of the sunroof ? I mean , would you put it on the car or not ? Here in Ro it costs around 650 Euro

If the rear visibility is as restricted as the previous model Octy I'd say that parking sensors would be towards the top of my list.

Cruise control may also be a good addition.

I went for the light assistant, multifunction steering wheel and maxidot. Light assistant seems to be very oversensitive and switches the headlights on at the strangest times. M/F wheel is nice, and I think the Maxidot is fantastic. Really clear and sharp, as well as making the dashboard look much more upmarket.

I chose Xenon, small leather package and heated seats (those seats just to make the wife happy)

The sports suspension + 17" alloys package...

Sound System & Xenons for me can have great tunes and see where I am going

I didn't chose any extras as I needed to get the car before the end of March, but I'd say the Multifunction steering wheel and maxidot is a bargain and would have been on my shopping list.

Nothing on mine above the Elegance spec, only thing i'd go for woud be the multifunction wheel as that's the only thing i miss from my old laguna.

Waiting for the L&K so i don't need to tick any option boxes :)

....oops - scratch that - i need to add the 17" pegasus wheels, a sunroof, the MP3 & 12 speaker upgrade to the L&K.

I've been told you can't get the 17" on the L&K :thumbdwn:

I have had that display on my Audi A4 since 1996. It is standard on the A4 SE.

It gives animated warnings if your car has a problem, such as when overheating it displays a flashing boiling thermometer which you cannot miss unlike the thermometer guage which I never noticed when my radiator emptied itself thanks to an incompetant 'Audi specialist' in Oxford that failed to fit a hose clip ! :eek:
