My vrs wrc approached sale!

Featured Replies

As title suggests I was simply filling her up at my local shell fuel station when was approached by a very exited looking chappy. He was so amazed with my car it was actually quite strange... Anyway to cut a long story short we got talking and the chap Paul really wants to buy my car. I said its not for sale but he proceeded to leave me his number just incase I changed my mind... My question is what is it worth really.

Car is a 2002 vrs wrc 71-100,

Absolutely a1 condition inside and out with a comprehensive history. Was victoria garages show car for 3 years.

Several mods but nothing over the top ???

2k 2.5k.

But if he is so excited. 4k ;-)

Oddly enough I did the same recently when number 78 came into our dealership. Chap took my number as he's thinking of selling soon.

Nooo dont do it leigh. Its a awesome car

For 2k I would rather give it too the mrs to wreck it with her kerb bumping and lack of cleaning

Mate got 2500 for his but it was a tip, and was part ex, Keep it or 4 grand

I think it would have to be 4k or il just Keep it. The at is truly in absolute stunning condition. Plus the bbs ch are worth best part of £900. I was only thinking about it because he was really into the history of skoda and has 4 others but he wants a wrc. I thought he would deserve it more than me and I would just replace it with another vrs

Sadly this is there worth at present but if the guy really wanted it 4k all daylong ;-)

Does it have all the stickers ??

No stickers. And 2k for a normal vrs but personally a wrc is or should be worth more in my opinion but all this is irrelevant anyway as its not for sale and certainly won't be for £2000

A non stickers wrc car isn't worth anymore I don't think !!!

A stickerd one yes would warrant more ;-)

But at present I can buy an x job car make a stick on badge and hey presto lol

But the whole wrc car is another debate lol

Cool that's a good idea, wish I had thought of that lol.... I see what your saying but MY vrs is worth a lot more than 2k regardless of the colour wrc edition or whatever purely because of its condition and history etc..

A car is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.

what actually is the difference between the WRC and the normal V RS, surely not just some stickers? :wonder:

And sorry as this has no doubt been covered before but since we are talking about them anyway :)

don't they also have a little numbered badge inside?

If it had 4x4 and around 250 to 300 bhp Sparco seats, hydraulic hand brake and a rollcage then we are talkin :D

I would of thought it was worth more as someone on this site has said before it is one of the rarest vag cars around as there was only 100 me personally I would quite happily pay 4k for a a1 condition vrs wrc cause it's worth that to me

And there`s my point!!! A car is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.

The only differences were the paint job, stickers, heated seats, xenons and the plate that tells you what number it is. The stickers alone cost almost a grand to buy from Skoda. I don't think i'd pay over the odds for a WRC just because i'd worry they draw a bit too much attention (especially with the stickers)

- Front Side Seat Airbags.

- ESP.

- VRS front door kickplates.

- Rear Mudflaps.

- "B Pillar covers in black (included in exterior graphics, but actually a seperate OEM part).

- Heated Front Seats.

- Side rubbing strips deleted.

- White 17" Spyder alloys.

- CD player and 6 CD Changer.

- Cargo net. as well as above

Unfortunately when they were they were new Skoda could not even shift 100 of them, hence why an awful lot of them were de-stickered from the dealer.

Personally I would not buy a de-stickered one as that should surely be the attraction?

Stickered up I would say about 1K more than a vRS, de-stickered a couple of hundred more due to the Xenon's.

Let's all jump back 36 years to the ford mk 2 escort era. I'm talking about the rs1800 only 109 produced mostly in diamond white apart from two red ones. Try finding one now and if you could it would be for a serious amount of money ! So my advice is if you have a WRC and don't have to sell it just keep it and watch its value climb.

you sure? I've seen serval black ones. do you mean the mk3 re turbo in white

And the MK2 RS1800 was different than production models other than its colour so gained status because it was special, not that I'm saying the WRC isn't, it's just mechanically identical to a regular vRS.
