Valued at £1500 so its no fees able in my eyes to repair. As for buying it back I need to phone the ins Monday to discuss what happens now.

I'd be happy with that, maybe a bit less with the car back. I'm set to make between £600-£800 off the bits alone so I'll still come away with a profit

Good for you as the value of the "wreck" will be scrap value so your "buy-back" value should be low

One thing ive learnt over the years is when you have an accident you never let the police arrange the recovery, always sort that out with your insurance or your breakdown cover.

Assuming they dont mark it as Cat B or Cat A, in which case it will be off to the crusher with no option to buy back.

I had a mate on his way with a trailer to fetch it and all of a sudden mr pc decided they were taking them both instead.
