Double figure tyres

Featured Replies

They have no website, no real reputation or brand, hardly any information online and you want me to trust these at high speed?

No ta!

I'm not asking YOU to trust them at all. What YOU do is up to YOU. Lol. But just offering a suggestion to the op based on my experience. They do have a website, as per my previous posts they have a great reputation amongst the Saab and Vauxhall forums. The main agent that sells them in the uk is a company I have had a lot of dealings with over the last couple of years and that I trust very much. I personally have had these tyres fitted to my own vehicle and have been very happy with them. ;)

Does anyone know where to get the Nt5000 or nt8000 from, preferably with a fitting network? I can onyl find the 8000 on ebay...i would then have to find someone to fit them.

Also will a 205/50/16 be okay on an octavia elegance? Regular size is 205/55/16 i believe.

You will be decreasing the rolling radius if you go for that size. you need 205 55 16's or 225 50 16's to keep the size the same But you would need to check the limits as I think the 16's are a 6.5inch wide rim IIRC

maybe i'll just have to stack up some rainsports and have a spare in the garage for if and when its needed emoticon-0143-smirk.gif i always meant to keep a spare 19 inch rainsport just incase too emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

that assuming tyres will be ok on wheels for 6 months at a time sat in the garage emoticon-0140-rofl.gif or spare room emoticon-0112-wondering.gif if i can get away with it

or do you have to have the tyres taken off???

If they are only going on over winter how about winter tyres?

I did look at winters mate, the nokian things get great write ups but defo over my double figure per corner plan :'(

I've got cooper weather masters on they are 16s but cost me less than 70 each last year

452s are a good all-rounder and not too dear.

Few guys on here used to run Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas and I used to run Hankook Ventus Evo V12s not sure if either of those are still around but were £80ish a corner

Ive got these all round on my VRS, excellent tyres, been going for AGES! 75 quid i payed per corner fitted balanced etc etc. wil defo be buying Vredestein again. ( this is 2nd set ive had now)

Rob.

If anyone has a link for any of these tyres that would be good. I am after a new set and the cheapest i can find the falkens in about £75 then have to pay the local tyre monkey's £15 to fit each one!

got 452s on mine, for the money they're spot on!

find some cheaper tyre monkeys lol

cost me 15 for two tyres lol

They are the cheapest I could find around this area, even the company the we spend many thosands of pounds with wont do them cheap! i have been looking for a decent friendly tyre monkey for many years, and a decent bodyshop guy come to think of it.

They are getting like rocking horse poo. All I have is a mechanic that I trust, the tyre monkeys are polish and I don't really trust them

I put my own tyres on at a friends garage. That way I know its done right and its free. :giggle:
