The scum have struck again :(

Sorry to hear what happened. Makes you sick :(

A word of advice though re: GAP insurance. A good friend of mine had his car stolen in similar circumstances and the vehicle was never recovered. The GAP insurance policy didn't have long to run and the insurance co made life very difficult for my mate. Delay upon delay, they couldn't agree a settlement figure and worse of all the ins co even hired a PI to investigate him. Finally they requested a meeting to go through his finances in detail obviously suggesting that they thought he'd arranged the whole affair to make a claim. Nothing could've been further from the truth and maybe he just was unlucky with this claim but the whole affair left him very ****ed off as you can imagine.

Cheers all for the advice and support, it really means a lot. Still have not heard anything from the police, just every time the phone rings I am worried that they will say they have found the car and it's repairable!

All I can say is it could have been so much more worse and we are counting our blessings. One thing we are going to carry on doing is NOT taking car keys to bed with us, as it's a lump of metal at the end of the day and my families safety is far more important.

Strike back !!

It'd gone through the wall of the warehouse and when the petrol went up the fire brigade just got there in time to stop it taking hold. Still, someone won't have to drive round in a molested version of their car...

It's a bloody sad state of affairs when some lowlife removes your window frame to gain access. I've been burgled once as a student. Scum forced their way in through the kitchen window, nicked my video, Sega and rode off on my moutain bike (parked in the kitchen) while I slept. Not quite the same as having your car pinched but a
