Hey folks.

Just seen that Specialist Cars of Malton are having another Big Breakfast meeting.

That last one was EPIC! It was VERY busy with a HUGE range of different cars from wacky/weird to super cars!

Its on Sunday 8th April from 8:30am.

York Road Business Park

Malton

North Yorkshire

YO17 6YB

You can't miss it... just look for the mass of people and cars. Just watch for the police. They were very keen on the last one and several got pulled!

Details here:

I'll start a list:

I went to the last one and it was an amazing sight, so much money/metal in one place. I'd love to go as it's just down the road from me in Scarborough. I'll see if I can plant the thought of a seed over the next few days, that way it is easier to get permission.. No doubt there'll be some kids party that crops up to prevent me coming along.

It might not be too bad Chris. I got there early last time - 8:30 - left at about 10:30/11:00 and I felt I'd had enough time and seen enough cars. If you were then heading back away from the coast you'd probably wouldn't get caught up in too much traffic. When we head inland from Scarborough we see the A64 busy on the coastbound side. On the way home the flow is reversed and we see everyone queuing on the westaward side to get back inland. Just my two penneth worth.

I know what its like ..My parents live just outside Malton

I stand corrected.

I'll still be popping through from Scarborough though as it was worth the effort last time. Even if the cars aren't a big enough draw, the sausage sandwiches and coffee were worth it.

I'll still definitely be going. Was a really good turn out last time with some very nice and interesting cars there.

Traffic shouldn't be too bad tbh.

I'll be there, having never been is there anywhere for the skoda's to be together?

It's a bit of a free for all tbh! Every street round the industrial estate was covered with cars. There was some quieter bits down the bottom where we could all park together though.

It's all down to what time you get there really. As mentioned earlier, we got there quite early and managed to get parked easliy. When I came back to the car later it was surrounded by all sorts of fancy machinery. The Skoda still looked good though.

As Phil said, if some of you come in convoy then there might be enough space at the bottom of the estate to get a bit of a Briskoda gathering going.

  • 2 weeks later...

Been for the last couple of meets there, some nice motors and also a good bacon sandwich feed

Like already said, try and get there early to get parked as it gets very busy quickly.

I know the Brisk boys wont do this but - What ever you do, please don't try and show off by driving down the main road giving your car all the beans it has!! the police are good and leave the meet alone because its for charity BUT there have been some complaints and rightfully so, about a few numpty's (mainly Ford RS's for some reason) who just drive up and down the main busy road at stupid speeds.

But all in and top day and I'll be there if anyone fancies meeting-up

Yes there were a few that got pulled over by a police car patrolling the area. Think it's only a 40 limit on that bit of road and they were being a bit silly.

Also there was a guy on a motorbike that pulled out and tried to show off and he went flying off!

Another example of the few spoiling it for the many.

I'll be there but not in a Skoda. We'll be in my mate's Integra Type R, so will have to hang out with another gang. :p

You'll be able to tell it's me because I'll be the one who's gently vibrating after a journey in a car with rock hard suspension and a mental rev limiter of 8700rpm.
