Door Open Warning Light

Featured Replies

Big K, here is a easy one. How do you know the codes for each feature? Is there is a Skoda Book that talk about this?

Whats the name of the book/manual??

I ask you this because my Skoda dealer dont know anything about the code adaptation for some extras in the Skoda and when I tell them to put me the autolock/unlock feature the guy was looking at me as what the hell I am talking?

So a guy on vortex give the sequence codes and I take it to the Skoda dealer and they program it with the VAG tool............

They was with the mouth open as they dont belive it.

This people dont know anything about the things you can program...............My Skoda dealer only have around 3 years in my country.

So its this something you have learn with all the years you have working there or Skoda supply you with a manual for this upgrades? Maybe I can explain this to them so they can order that book.

Isaac

I don't know. The classic doesn't have an on board computer does it unlike the Comfort and Elegance. I remember that the stumbling block for the boot release on key was that you needed the Elegance ECU. ECU that the right word? It's totally gone out of my head with all the 3 letter shortenings we have like ASR, ABS, EBD!

04-low screenwash level

Big K, I have a 2002 L&K, How do I know if my screenwash water container on the engine compartment has the water level sensor?

What I mean is that I was checking under the hood/boned and on the screenwash water container I saw what is look like the water pump electric motor.

Over this motor there are a plug with 2 wires (I asume this are the ones that power the motor and UNDER the motor its look like a plug but I dont see wires:confused: I think this is the small hose were the water goes to the screen wash.

So were is the sensor located? Do the sensor is under or in a place were I cant see it but is there????

Do I have to take out the screenwash water container to make shure the sensor is there????? Or I just forget about this and just program the code in the computer and it will work?

What is your advise?

Thank you again for your patience and for sharing your knowlege.

Sincerely,

Isaac

t/boss you cant really see sensor is on the underneath of the bottle the only way you can find out is to remove the bottle alternatively you can just programme dash for the feature and if the warning light is on (with a full bottle) you will know it doesn't have sensor.

Went to the dealer yesterday - they couldn't get the warning light to activate / work - it wouldn't accept the coding. They recon that either it's the incorrect the dash panel that has been fitted or the Ambiente doesn't have this available on the 2001 model, albeit that it's a facelift version. Now thoroughly confused!!....

Hmm...well, I might have the wrong dash panel - I suppose it would compensate for the old style rear light clusters...
