Probably looking at £2200 ish for the kit and £1000 for fitting give or take, just a rough idea tbh.

So, it's a sunny Friday and the post drops on my desk at work with a phallic looking package addressed to me.....

 

Turns out is the final piece of the Alcantara jigsaw for the Sprint Yellow Fabia.

 

Take one spare Fabia vRS handbrake lever purchased off eBay (second time lucky - first one never arrived!!), flick the retaining plastic clip with a very thin flat blade screwdriver and the surround literally falls off the lever.

 

 

Send horrid perforated leather surround off to Jack at Royal steering wheels and wait two weeks for the results.

 

Fitting is a 30 second job. Finishes the interior re-trimmed bits off a treat. So pleased I've had all three parts done now.

 

 

 

 

Finally a pic of all three bits together. Looks factory now and that was the intention.

How much has that set you back Matt?

Not long been driving, so I don't know much about cars, but I'm pretty handy with a spanner if I know roughly what I'm doing! Managed to change the thermostat housing, temp sensor and rocker cover gasket tonight - that should hopefully get rid of that pesky engine management light! Got a couple more bits to do - few polo rear wiper, sort out the rear washer jet, fit new badges as mine are looking pretty tatty.

Took a couple of photos of the car for no real reason. And yeah, this ain't a bad place to live

Wash polish wax rainex and of course tyre shine today and a quick wipe down under the engine cover
