When I purchased my car it came with an upgrade disc for the satnav, no charge. The car has a 5 year warranty and I would expect free satnav upgrades for at least that period. If there any hardware, firmware or software upgrades during a warranty period then I will make sure they are supplied FOC.

Things may well be different in Oz, Albervin, but you would be laughed at if you made such demands of UK dealers. When it comes to hardware upgrades over 5 years, that will never fly, with any dealer, anywhere - and I'd imagine - any make.
