Gauge project paused for some random pics

  • So today saw the dawn of a new era. Lloyd finally putting some miles on his beloved Octy. Up at 5 and in Kent by 0845 wonders will never cease! Here he is having just arrived after his epic 160 mile

  • Few pics This amazed adam My original rocker - nothing but v power since new Under that was this New magic trickery stuff Love it

Looks cool as f. Lloyd love these wheels but stretched tyres scare me abit how does it ride ?

  • Author

Im letting it settle, the front are actually out of threads lol

The back im going down a turn i think, but when its seen u can see the rears are intrested in eating my wing lol

And id like to avoid body damage :)

Ride.... Not tooo bad

No race car, with the stretch and camber it can feel abit twitchy ( but seems to stick thus far )

It does tram at times but not all the time

Harsher than normal tyres as no give in the sidewall

But ive came from 35/19s and 30/20s so jts ok

The tyres are falken ze914s so not greatness

So yeah

Between camber stretch n medium ramge tyres cant complain :D

Those wheels are *very* black - they remind me of the Shadows space craft in Babylon 5. Looking really good, Lloyd

Oh, and what mileage are you up to now, with a few more trips out? I was thinking about your car when my Yeti rolled over the 18,000 mark a couple of weeks ago.

Thats a good compare to the rims lol

And i think im working to 18k

I will check :)

Good choice mate!

Very, very nice B)

I've quick question about the camber shims if you don't mind, did the kit come with shims for the caliper carrier also to make it run true to the disc?

  • Author

Yeah mate, although the top bolt was done with metel washers as more solid

Bottom one is a poly shim thing now tho due to more camber

:D also y i didnt go expensive tyres lol

Which kit did you use as I've been looking at the eibach kit but it don't come with the shims for the carrier?

  • Author

Its the ones listed as eibach from venom ( cheaper from them on ebay )

£33 per set mate

They do look pretty special :)

Don't see the stretch from some angles but up close it shows it! That's quite abit of stretch and camber going on! Bit too much for me but still looks good!

But the question is now....

....Will it now get used as promised?!!!!
