Hey there, got the original 2 remotes for my 2007 skoda octavia II, the 3 button standard VW jobbies. One remote works fine, the other one recentily will not unlock the car, only lock it.

I've changed the battery, doesn't help. I've also tried pressing the unlock button, opening with key in door and starting the car, no change. The other fob continues to work fine. Any more ideas?

My guess would be the switch under the button, as the rest works ok it seems the most likely.

Yeah, seems the obvious one, but having done a bit of googling and checking here, it seems this behaviour can sometimes be "on purpose", a security feature. Wondering if there's any other synching/resetting things to try.

Hey guys, old post I know but I've got the same problem as Awaken, BUT both of my remotes will lock the car, and open the boot but wont open the doors. Even better is that the lock on the drivers door wont open the door. So I'm left with opening the boot, climbing in to either reach down and open the doors via the switch next to the handbrake or open rear door, then open drivers door. Whats going on ?!

As a first step I would look at the wires in the snake between the driver's door and the body. Wires can fracture in use and cause the sort of problem described.
