Warranty Claims?

Featured Replies

Just thought it'd be nice to get a concise list of what people have had to claim for.

My only claim is for the dashboard end panel having a crack in it, and the Xenons adjusting higher. Will soon be going in for the numerous rattles that irritate the hell out of me...

octavia 4x4: gearbox failure, coil packs, brake light switch

Does this query relate to Fabia vRS only or the Fabia in general?

'04 Fabia vRS: brake master cylinder; brake servo; brake light switch. Hmm is there a trend here ... Also Xenon adjustment (delivered too low).

Hmmmm...

Just got my car out of the dealer's, made a claim on paint chipping on the side of my dor, had it completely resprayed and polished.

Also claimed the can holder on the driver's side.

As far as freebies (:D) go, I had the centre AC vents replaced, got the frames painted, and got free polishing and wheel alignment.

2005 fabia vrs

Mine

Oil leak from filter housing - don't want to tell me what they replaced. (Awaiting payment for the mess made on my drive)

Gear lever rattle - Under consideration.

SWMBO's

Gear lever rattle.

Awaiting delivery of rear hatch struts.

Dec'03 Fab vRS - 32k miles:

Something to do with the suspension that was a 'known fault' but caused it to 'knock' when going over bumps

Stereo: CD 'pickup' was playing up and it'd just whirl and spin (and not play the darn thing)

Other than that, not a bean of a problem!!! well pleased! best and most reliable car i've ever had...!

Ahem... My car's been out of warranty for a LONG time, but on furby mark 1 I had a total new turbo at 29,000 miles. Bit of a bu99er that one as turbo failure is very uncommon nowadays.

Apart from that I don't think either of my furbys ever ent in for warranty work, just servicing and repairs done once out of warranty (and they were / are rare too)

just the fuel pump recall on mine.

Though I need the radio sorted out and the driver visor clip replaced.

05 05 (6200 miles) vRS going in for rattles - guessing gear linkage too as it's got the gear lever rattle.

Fixed under warranty (that I know of):

- Heated seats not working

- Heated mirrors not working

Ones on mine which would have been fixed under warranty (if the car was in warranty ;)):

- Front track rod end worn

- Air con packed up

- Clutch pedal mounting snapped

and if I could be bothered, I'd get them to refix the heated mirrors which still don't appear to be heating!

Out of all my cars (including a Land Rover! ;)) this has been the most unreliable car I've owned

Chris

Gear lever rattle @ 4K miles - revised cables & linkages fitted.

Chris

Mines the other way around out of all the cars I've own this has been the most reliable (touch wood)

but then past cars have been either Austin or French!
