  • Reflection appears to show some old man wearing a bra!

  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

No, MK1 has smallert one and MK2 and FL has a bigger one as you can see from the pics with comparred both bigger and smaller badges

The fl rear badge is smaller than the front. I'm going to take a punt and order a large front and small rear...

1ST 853 601A AUL - Front badge

Fitted perfect on my FL

Thanks devouring. Are you able to tell us what the diameter of the fabia badge is?

Davojuri sorry! Bloody auto correct!

5J0853621AAULFB -New rear badge

Cheers. I presume there is no difference between estate and saloon? Are you ordering it is througha dealer or on the Internet?

I thought on Octavia II (FL) the estate badge was curved and hatchback was flat, I could be wrong though.

Which new badge is that?

Thats the new better fitting rear badge

Believe it's the new fabia badge.

My update was regarding new Fabia badge, rear one in this case, and front one will also get to see if it sits better in front grille.

Rear one sits perfectly on the trunk of Octavia MK1.

Here is the diameter I promissed for new rear fabia badge

Been following this thread since the start, over 300 fecking emails now and it's getting so muddled I am loosing track. Someone asks about new Fabia badge, reply is given referring to Citigo and it keeps darting back and forward causing confusion for a few pages. Looking good for the new rear Fabia ones fitting the Octy II FL hatch. All is left to see is with it fitting nice and flat in there. Cheers for measurements.

as per prev measurements Stoofa made, looks like a winner for the FL hatch:

From what I can tell - you will not find a new badge exactly the right size for the rear.

I have a FL Octy vRS and the rear badge is 78mm, I measued it a little earlier. The badges we are buying are 88mm (convex or not).

Unless somebody has a part code for a 78mm badge you will not get one that fits perfectly in the recess on the rear of the FL.

Rear one sits perfectly on the trunk of Octavia MK1.

Why are we talking about mk1? Is it the same size as the mk2?

The thread may be in the Octavia II section but it long ago grew to cover Fabia's, Superb as well as Octy I, Octy II and Octy II FL. There has been a lot of playing and tweaking in order for us all to find the correct sizes so might as well all be in one thread.

So where can we buy the fabia badges?

From Skoda

damn you Phil I was about to reply in a sarcastic manor there lolol.

Really this thread would prob be better if it was just about Octavia Mk2 and let owners of other Skoda's open their own thread in the relevant sections (IMO) would cut down on the confusion!

In summary:

1ST 853 601A AUL - Front badge for FL Octavia (fits perfect)

1ST 853 630 AUL - Rear badge for FL Octavia (slightly large for recess, but fits)

5J0853621AAULFB -New Fabia 2 Rear badge that fits the 80mm recess perfectly (havent got one yet but will report back)

all should be able to order from a Skoda Dealer

I am putting of asking my dealer as when I went in to try and get the citigo ones they said, "what is a citigo" hadn't heard of it and said when I told them what it was they had no idea when it was coming to Holland, following week I drive past and they have a demo one parked out front....................... I might try my luck in UK tomorrow instead see if anyone has one in stock.
