  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

Anyone having trouble getting these?

I got the wheel badges within a few days, I have had the boot and bonnet on order for nearly four Weeks now, would appear there has been a massive demand!

Yes - demand outstripping supply.

When I initially ordered mine, way back when, I had all of them within about 4 days.

When I ordered my second set I had to wait just over a week. When I was in my dealers the other day getting some screws they were saying that you could be waiting up to a month now for the front badge (as this is the most popular to replace).

Holly smokes! At least someone somewhere has had the sense to recognise the risk and change the law even it it was 10 years later that this happened people can take longer to come around to such changed and understand why they are made. What happened driver back in 1984?

Problem is, as other threads not so long ago (and still going on now) people are still more than willing to "mod" their vehicles without giving a damn about the safety implications. Looks over safety is the choice for so many.

You know, masking of lights, making lights that are supposed to dim stay bright, that kind of thing.

But hay - as long as things look good, why it matter you cause a few accidents??

let you know when I get a chance to order them mate, some time this week with a bit of luck

spoke to the main dealer in Durham and was told they have 83 rear badges in stock,no front badges in stock and cannot say when they are getting them

ive got some but i cant find the courage to try and take the other ones off incase i scratch something lol

I had the dealership remove my old badges for me. My car was in for it's first service anyway, so I asked them to do it at the same time.

As it officially went on the job sheet, any damage done to my car they would have to put right.

I've checked and double-checked and no markes at all around where the badges were.

Hurrah! picked them up today, turns out that Westgate Skoda got them last week but I missed their message.

Very friendly and helpful chap in the parts department too, you need to go into the Honda showroom as they share parts departments.

The rear doesn't seem to fit to well as it is larger than the original, but continuing the black and silver theme nicely I feel!

Car fixed and wrapped ok ?

I never understood the 100% brightness desire for the new DRL's with headlights on personally. When I turn key at night and they come on auto before I start engine and then turn headlights on the flippin things light up the house across the street embarrassing me as im lighting up their rooms. I do think standing outside at night with them on full they are too bright. Not seen any "masking" threads I take it that its along the lines of those eye brow things?

Yes thanks, had it back a while and all sorted properly.

The DRL's remaining bright at night was.....well I think I made my feelings on that one clear in the thread itself. Didn't stop the person attempting to do it - can only hope a few people make him aware of his stupidly bright lights at night, maybe after a few headlight flashes he'll get the message.

I've seen a couple of theads on making rear lights as "smoked as possible". Actually smoked isn't the word - I've driven behind cars where the rear lights are so dark you honestly cannot see indicators or brake lights.

Sure these look "ubber cool" in the day, but an accident waiting to happen and as it would be me running into them - potentially bad for an innocent person.

Yes they will see 32skoda datas thread about the rears post 79 ( same as roomster http://www.briskoda....ii/page__st__60

Many thanks. Will be interesting to see what the supply and demand is in this small neck of the woods...

I do like the new Ocatvia and tdi, but I prefer non at all. Do think mine would look nicer with the new badge as my old ones have gone a bit nasty over time and let the car down as it is pretty clean otherwise

Yep, I prefer mine with none at all but the updated ones do look better than the originals Mike

Updated ones look smart, but I went for the "stealth" look.

Do fancy some new Skoda badges though - my front one looks terrible now. Think they will go well on a Silver car

sorry to repeat what plenty of people have already asked, but which badges are required for a 2011 octavia vrs?

is it the curved badge for the front and back? curved one for front and flat for back? or curved for back and flat for front?!

much appreciated
