  • Reflection appears to show some old man wearing a bra!

  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

It would be easier if you used something like photobucket to link your photos, even I cant be arsed viewing them all :giggle:

Final summary for Octy I users:

You should only use:

CITIGO

1ST 853 601A AUL - Front

for the front grille and rear trunk.

It fits perfectly, convexity is the same as on the trunk and grille..

Rear one from CITIGO is plain-so no go.

RAPID one has convexity slightly smaller than one on the grille and trunk, so no go to.

Hope this helps Octy I users to upgrade their badges, pics to come soon.

In a word beautiful

In a word beautiful

Tks very quick car! Was stored after a respray in 1989. Body was mint but paint required correction and detailing. Oil in the engine ad separated and after I put a scope in found rust internally so. Pulled the engine and rebuilt it with my mate (who served his time at Cosworth building F1 engines, etc.). Block was pickled so that the casting was completely clean and the heads were converted to run on unleaded. New race cam, rings, bearings and 750 Edlebrock performance carb and away you go :-). Putting out about 380 bhp

I know its not to everyones taste but i now have the new citigo badges on my Silver Octy & to me it appears to be a lot smrter than the previous coloured badges that had white worm & the car is only 2 yrs old.

At least these wont go the same way as the old ones

Please excuse the slightly dirty car but the current snow / rain & grit doesnt help the photo, the grille came off & was thoroughly cleaned before putting the replacement on, & the rear was also cleaned & clay barred before sticking the replacement.

WOW you posh traitor! The tax may seem high but in the Netherlands its about €150 a month road tax on a 1.8 petrol (emissions based)! So think yourself lucky money bags! I must have missed this on a previous thread do you have any pics of her then? Saying that I am still tempted to get an M5 but I really really don't even need the Skoda so it would be silly for me. :(

No he never saw it again, it took him a year to find another nice one, I went out with him a week b4 xmas and said I have got to get me one of these, so did xmas eve , Tracker locate on mine

Lovely choice of car. I see one now and again on my daily commute

Seemingly the new badge is due for the Fabia and Roomster around the 10th feb. Direct replacement which will fit the Octavia with the correct guide pins, no mucking around with badges from the ****tygo. Well hold fire tell then I think.
