  • Reflection appears to show some old man wearing a bra!

  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

Thanks

B

Will check the part number when i get home. My Octavia is 2008 RS combi.

Aaand some "special" badge in the cabin:

New VRS Steering wheel with the flat bottom? You jammy thing! (and it looks really cool!)

EDIT: oops, just looked at it big and saw the Gti badge at the bottom!

That's the same badge I just ordered today too at my dealers, should be here tomorrow or Monday :D

looks like Skoda eventually got their delivery to ther UK then!!!!

How much was it through the dealer (I expect I am paying a premium to cover ebay and paypal fees)?

I think that seems a good price £18.99 delivered, last badges I bought were more I think. Ordered the same one at Skoda dealers today and it even cost more :( lol but they are more expensive here tbh.

Yep. That´s the right Fabia badge.

Can I suggest that a summary of the findings so far for each car is put on the first post as the thread is a bit of a nightmare to read now.

If I had to read it all, so does everyone else :p

Walked in to my local dealers yesterday asked for the badge, told has to be ordered in. Less than 24 hours later...... I don't see what all the fuss is about :p

So the new fabia badge fits inside the recess on the boot lid?

This is what I am waiting to find out as well.

I was bored so here are pics of the......

First Octavia II FL VRS Hatchback with the new Fabia badge '5J0 853 621 A AUL'

The 2 studs on back lined up perfectly for the holes in recess.

I love taking pics of car when sun is out, sorry.

Click on any of the pics below to go to mental large mode! (shows the dirt on the car though)

First the old Citigo badge which I removed Chuck Norris style :ninja: :strong: :peek:

Now the new one fitted

I have measured it up using the only accurate tool I had to hand, the MkII FL VRS Hatch. :sun:

My Octavia II FL VRS now has fitted all perfectly:

1ST 853 601A AUL - Front (CitiGo Front)

5J0 853 621 A AUL - Rear (New Fabia Rear)

601 151 ULM - Wheels (CitiGo centre caps, fit all wheels it seems)

Can't see pics on phone so will have to wait until I get home. Damn you for beating me to the inaugural fitting! You fit it just with the double sided sticky foam

I was finished work tired, drove to dealers collected my goodies. Then sat here having posted pic of box above, I thought it would be a shame if I just sat here and let someone else beat me to it. I am following the thread so as I composed the post with pics above I got the notification that you had posted to the thread, I was praying someone hadn't just beaten me to it by seconds! :whew:

How jammy I feel though having walked into dealers with my part number and less than 24 hours later it arrives ready for me to collect.

Mine should be waiting for me at home and will be fitted tomorrow (although need to find fishing line to remove old one first)

Now the hunt starts for the steering wheel badge!

The recess on the FL Octy has the same size as the one on pre-FL Octy. I'm asking 'cause I'm thinking about this upgrade myself...:)

If you measure your badge/recess I can let you know. I think it does though.

I think pre FL has a slightly larger recess, if you read back in the thread near start I think is someone said so there, even though original badges on both were same size/part numbers.

BTW if you just use normal browser on phone not tapatalk thingy you would be able to see pics, on mine if I go to briski in normal browser it goes to blue mobile version. I scroll to bottom of screen and select 'Full Version', then I am in the site as if on my laptop etc.

I put car in garage to change badge and fitted a new luggage hook in boot, then outside to take pics and parked it up as normal.

The sun has done one! I hope the storm doesn't mean I will go out to car to find new badge on ground!

Really struggling to download the pics... Have full signal but just stuck!

Just on my older SII now to see, working a treat with google chrome browser. Looks like you will have to wait a little longer.

Nope. Got it now. Looks tops mate! And I will be the first to get the badge on an estate!
