  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

So guys:

New skoda logo will have BLACK GLOSSY FILM SOMETHING LIKE THIS, ONLY THIS IS CARBON ONE:

http://s537.beta.pho...Emblem.jpg.html

SOLUTIONS:

1. pre FL grill amlbem on grill and above side repeaters, and only lower part of rear amblem on the back

http://s537.beta.pho...G_4849.jpg.html

2. green part covered with black glossy film on them.

Will it fitt better with glossy black new badges or if green is removed and stays chrome???

3. removed green sticker on them and chrome is left

4. replacing pre FL with FL rear amblem (V with RS) above repeaters and on the back, just not sure wheather to put back one or grill one on the grill, don't like that black plastic underneath grill badge

Some info about Favorit badge which is simillar to new one.

I sow first this great pic on Octy 1

http://s537.beta.photobucket.com/user/davojuri/media/New%20Skoda%202013%20Logo/5195834961_32431693d0_b.jpg.html?sort=3&o=97

So I hardly found front and rear one.

Front one is arrived and can't be used there because it is to thick:

http://s537.beta.photobucket.com/user/davojuri/media/New%20Skoda%202013%20Logo/IMG_0020.jpg.html

http://s537.beta.photobucket.com/user/davojuri/media/New%20Skoda%202013%20Logo/IMG_0022.jpg.html

http://s537.beta.photobucket.com/user/davojuri/media/New%20Skoda%202013%20Logo/IMG_0023.jpg.html

So I am now waiting for the rear one to come. Will order one more to have them as a set, so if anyone will be inerested for sale, becausae they are not any more available over ETKA

Part numbers I'll repeat again:

115 792 202 Front

115 792 203 Rear

Also should I stay STEALTH ON THE BACK LIKE THIS:

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=33

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=34

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=35

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=27

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=29

OR SHOULD I PUT SOME LETTERS LIKE THIS:

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=27

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=10

http://s537.beta.pho...tml?sort=3&o=28

http://s537.beta.pho...ml?sort=3&o=122

http://s537.beta.pho...html?sort=3&o=8

JUST TO WORN YOU ALL OUT LETTERS DO DAMAGE PAINT OVER LONG TIME OF PERIOD AND WHEN YOU DO REMOVE THEM YOU SHOULD GRIND AND POLISH IT AND IT IS HARD TO CLEAN IN BETWEEN THEM

Finally dismantled that new badge:

first pics on it as I found, bot side:

http://s537.beta.pho...AG0916.jpg.html

http://s537.beta.pho...AG0917.jpg.html

It would be nice to put only chrome parts directly on the paint especially on the back but these two old holes for old signs will be notceable, they have to be closed first. So just an tought

I did never post so much but now I have some time and decided to share my detailed approach in few recent interesting topics.

Hope not killing everyone with my toughts.

And just to mention written is only a small part of them. There is a whole chaos in my head going on heheheheh

My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely. IMG_0456.jpgIMG_0471.jpgIMG_0472.jpg

Just my tought but rear badge isn't sitting horisontal.

Arrow is pointing slightly downward, correct me if I am wrong ;-)

Davojuri out of curiosity, if the replacement of two badges takes so many posts, what will happen to the forum when you make a "serious" change to the car? :giggle:

total overkill ofcourse hehehehe.

Got sam wish to post lately....will stop me soon hope hehehe

But details are what matters...that makes things perfect :)

Forum meltdown.

Hey mate pm sent and glad your getting on ok with changing them. Thinking of possibly changing mine to a different colour in the near future so be good to see the gloss black finished article :)

all three dismantled, awaiting that 3M scotchbrite 1080 glossy black film to come.

In the mean time will be playing with pre FL badges above side repeaters and old front grile-removing green sticker and maybe glossy black film, and also ordered FL back VRS emblem to see which looks better on the same positions (without green sticker and or with black glossy film)

But from what I have seen that clear chrome version of the FL VRS badges, when green sticker is removed looks best for me especially on my custom black pearl paint -base 2 layers,(small silver particles replaced with big one-for better light reflection for red and gold ones), xyralic laque additive in laque of 5 layers

And not at all, no overkill there, I was just detailed into the atoms of topic, every aspect covered, and given usefull info on one place, so if anyone starts to think of replacement in one post he can find everything needed, not like on the begining of this thread, is it convex, flat, 601 or 630, Citigo, no Rapid, front, no rear one, maybe Favorit ,he told me wrong etc...

   this is for the begginer to have clean start :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi:

+1. It's the small things that matter! Get it straight! Car looks mint and suits the new badges though!!

Already been fixed as I noticed it the day after fitting. :-)
