VRS Seat Cleaning- Grey faux suede

Featured Replies

Has anyone found a good product to clean the grey part of the VRS seats, they look great but get grubby quite easily.

Many thanks

You could try baby wipes, I would test them on a small out of sight bit first. I don't think they would either dry out the material or make it greasy?

 let us know.

The gray stuff is Alcantara.

Might help you finding the right cleaning stuff. I'd probably go with unscented baby wipes myself.

Leather re-trim.

Had my seats done as the condition of the grey suede was poor, it was starting to delaminate and leaving white dust all over and the nylon type mesh on the seat base / back was doing my head in

You can get a specific alcantara cleaner... I think ( might be wrong here!!) its made by Raceglaze

..

Edit... It is called raceglaze alcantara cleaner... Try polishedbliss.co.uk ;)

sent from my phone....

Great that's the kind of thing u was after!

I use the autobrite alcantara cleaner, then gtech interior fabric protector, job done, looks as good as new!

Recommended!

Water... thats all it needs, all these cleaners are just a waste of money, firstly understand what alcantara is.

Mine have not ever really got grubby... Unless they are and Iv never seen them new to realise. Just wiped them over with a damp cloth now and again.

I have however managed to get a matching Recaro kiddie seat, match es the alcantara perfect!

Agreed.....Wipe with damp cloth

Reseal with 3M Scotchgard

Cheapest wet-wipes, without creams, vitamins or anything, work fine here.

Asked this on DW, and was advised that steam cleaning would work too.
