Women driving Vrs Manual Tdi

Featured Replies

I really dont think it's anything to do with the physicality of being a woman. It's more the mentality. Some women just want to be the helpless woman, who can't change a wheel or a bulb or do anything that is considered a mans job. I genuinely think some women's brains just refuse to let this sort of information in. I do find it a bit infuriating but that's probably just because I hate the thought of being utterly useless when I find myself in a tricky si****ion. I think the same can go for driving, some are too busy being 'girly' to really pick up what they are actually doing when engaging a clutch for example, think its a boy thing and then refuse to even try. There is no reason why anyone can't remove their foot from the floor to depress the clutch.

    I've never had my left heel on the floor when using the clutch, it's more of a leg movement as you have the extra strength/control from your thigh, rather than trying to hinge at your ankle. I'd keep

Well people, we are off in the car with her new prosthetic limb I've had fiited at the local hospital, this might just do the trick.

Skoda said they have come accross the before !!! quite a few times in fact.

After all this imformation there are only four options;

1/ she goes

2/ she has a session with a shrink ( some have suggested problems in her head?)

3/ the car goes

4/ I get a Jag? (apparently its easy to reach the clutch) think I'll give that one a miss :whew:

Thanks for your help

gadgit.

I'm 5"2 and a size 5 shoe and I used to drive my golf like you are saying but had to get used to driving the vrs by only having my foot on the clutch if it I need to change gear otherwise I rest my foot on the part to the left of the clutch not sure if it's plastic or not. Just takes a bit of getting used to. (I am also a women)

Foot shouldn't be on the clutch for anything else (apart from when stopped in gear/setting off),'riding' the clutch is not a good idea and will wear it out in no time.

I've also never pivoted any foot on any pedal other than the accelerator!

I feel more normal now Jim thanks!

Hence the reason I now have the vrs as the clutch was starting to go in the golf.
