  • Brilliant ride, brilliant result, brilliant lap times, could have been up with Lorenzo if he'd been closer at the start Thank heavens he ditched Ducati

  • Lorenzo's gates at his home in Los Montesinos. This is just along from where my mother lives. BTW, I don't think rossi is past it.

  • VALE, VALE, VALE!!!

Lorenzo not best pleased with Marquez though.......LOL

That's racing! Martinez was just trying to get past. Yes he messed up a bit but it wasn't intentional IMO and george had been holding him up, so it was inevitable Martinez would try something on the last lap. One spaniard against another on a spanish track. Epic.

Lost all respect for the dirty bar steward......didn't have a hope in hell of getting through there

Way beyond what you'd call a 'racing incident' IMO

Rossi not far away, but was hoping for more after he passed Marquez in the first few laps :(

It's not the first time that's happened in a last lap lunge there, and I'd lay odds it won't be the last!

Cracking result for Cal and Redding in GP2 too. Can't believe there is talk that Cal's spot at Yamaha might be taken next year. :x

And a bad day at the office for the two factory Yamahas

I really thought Vale was going to do something today, then he started going backwards again before he crashed :(

Looking fwd to watching this on Wednesday after returning from the N24 in Germany.

That is much to do that Cal is miffed he is only on a year contract plus there is talk about him riding for Suzuki as they re-enter MotoGP next year.

If Cal keeps improving he will have lots of podiums in the future.

He really loved beating Dovi, that was as nearly as good as the 2nd step of the podium for him.

Marquez had a little accident yesterday at 195mph suffering a swollen chin and cracked bone in shoulder!!!! Goes out today and crashes again !!

He probably win the race on Sunday lol!

Rossi 7th ie 3rd row.

Pretty tight qualifying......

Rider Nation Team Bike Km/h Time Gap 1st/Prev

Dani PEDROSA SPA Repsol Honda Team Honda 340.5 1'47.157

Jorge LORENZO SPA Yamaha Factory Racing Yamaha 338.7 1'47.226 0.069 / 0.069

Andrea DOVIZIOSO ITA Ducati Team Ducati 341.0 1'47.628 0.471 / 0.402

Cal CRUTCHLOW GBR Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Yamaha 340.0 1'47.632 0.475 / 0.004

Stefan BRADL GER LCR Honda MotoGP Honda 340.8 1'47.737

Marc MARQUEZ SPA Repsol Honda Team Honda 338.4 1'47.763 0.606 / 0.026

Valentino ROSSI ITA Yamaha Factory Racing Yamaha 340.6 1'47.872 0.715 / 0.109

Yam seems plenty fast enough. Great run by Dani and Jorge and by Cal considering not a factory bike and not the quick changing gearbox.

212 mph down the straight (dogleg) !

rossi and hayden should both move across to WSBK, make room at the factory teams for improving riders such as Cal!

Who wants to see rossi repeatidly put it 7th 8th on the grid then get a lucky 4th 5th? Dont get me wrong I am a rossi fan, but unfortunetly the style of motogp has moved on and he has not.

Yamaha WSBK have said they would return 2014-15 with Sam Lowes, that would make a brilliant team!

Gutted for Marquez crashing 3 laps from the finish while in second place especially after setting yet another record of the fastest ever Moto gp crash at a not to shabby 209 mph ( not 195 mph I mentioned earlier) so well done young man!!! He pulled 25g's on the impact too!

As for Lorenzo ... Well he's just a machine ! Inch perfect lap after lap!!

FP4 just starting.

Rossi quite quick on lap times, Crutchlow out-qualifies Lorenzo!

Nicky Hayden hitting 341.4 kph ie 212.1 mph down the straight !!

not bad for rossi so far this weekend, certainly promising.

Ok, admittedly flattered by the "Smith test" ignoring people who fall off, but "The Doctor is in the house"?

Love this pic of Mr Bradl ! The lad can certainly get it over!! Marquez look out lol!

As close to falling off without actually falling off. Only the Honda spoils the picture.

Anothr Yamaha victory and Suzuki had a good test getting ready for their return.

Shame about Cal and Nicky who I thought might impress.

Still not sure that Rossi will every contend another World title, Ducati were the lost years.

So we're entirely clear on this, I just want him to be competitive rather than necessarily win more titles.

I know it's no good Cal being fast if he can't keep it upright, but logic says that a relative noob on a non-factory bike shouldn't be beating a man of Rossi's calibre on a factory machine

That's the most frustrating thing for me watching MotoGP at the moment (other than the knowledge that I can't watch next year as I refuse to get BT Broadband) - Cal gets all our hopes up for a podium finish and then bins it. :(

True, but Tech-3 have historically been more equal than most satellites, to the extent that there were years when Works and T3 had separate sponsors, and both teams ran 1 bike in each sponsor's colours.
