BMW 530d

Featured Replies

Had a brush with one of them last night :D Rapid beasties, aren't they?

However, the honour of Briskoda was upheld :D:D:thumbup:

BMW man was not chuffed at being overtaken by a SKODA :rofl::rofl:

I do like the BMW 3.0d (as I've already said on Loz's thread earlier today!) I think it makes a great noise, and like you say, it's pretty darn quick too! :)

He will tell his mates it was a 6.0 W12 Phaeton in black magic that scooted past him.

Or more likely will say nothing at all......

Went for a spin in a chipped 330d last week - 260bhp and 410lb/ft iirc. Wheel spin, in a rear wheel drive car, at 80mph is - impressive! Very, very rapid with 0..60 under 6s.

The new twin turbo version is supposed to be even better, not been in one tho.

I got some glare from him when he passed me a few minutes later.....

as I was locking the Octy outside the chippy :D:D:finger:

The Octy has passed the 5000 mile mark now and is loosening up nicely  Third gear in particular is awesome   :D

The new 535d twin turbo is a belter!! I know a lunatic accountant with one... apparently putting out something like 280bhp.... savage price though. One of my bosses has a 530d, and the Octy has embarrassed him on a couple of occassions. My other boss has an M5... no Skoda victory stories against him though.

The new 535d twin turbo is a belter!! .

Is this the one with the idea being there is no turbo lag using twin turbos .Don't know how that works but I'm sure it does the job! :D

Sequential I thought. Small one spins up quickly then a big one delivers the goods...

I'm ok with 530D, had a play with 535D - he was far king quick! :D
