Let the flaming begin!!! :)

Oooooh yes

It was mean enough in it's standard guise, but now that is mental!!

We definately won't miss you Richard.

Well they don't have an excuse for I didn't see you now, do they?

Love it! don't know what else to say...

Very nice B)

You certainly won't go unnoticed in that one!

Out of curiosity how does this work with regards to vehicle registration? I assume that it's registered as blue and it still is in a way.

It's a temporary change, so no need to change the V5 details or tell the DVLA.

I actually really like it, which is suprising really as I'm not that fond of yellow cars. But the beast pulls it off well. Well done!

Boss fox really nice looks the business, it's wrapped ? What does this mean? How they do it ?

It's covered in stretchy sticky back plastic.

Means it'll still have brand new paint underneath when the wrap comes off.

No stone chips, no bird poo marks etc...

This is how it's done.

Have I missed something Rich - thought you sold the GT-R?

Err... I bought another 4 days later.

This MY11 came up at a very good price in a private sale.

It's about £1600 Seb, but if you knew how soft the top coat was on this car you'd know it is money well spent.

They mark really, really easilly.

I wouldn't have had another if I had not had it covered in something to protect it. It drives you nuts.

Film they use is guaranteed for three years with an expected life of seven. So not too bad.

And if I sell it they can have Yellow or factory Blue in great condition as the car has only done 4000 miles. :)

Blue.

Always loved GTRs and the vinyl idea. Always loved this one:

Bold move with the colour - Enjoy it.

How do you go on for polishing it?

  • Author

You just wash it and polish it as usual, although you need to avoid products that are too aggressive.

No close blasting with a jet wash or using machine polishers.

There are special products if you get fanatical about it.

I'll be hand washing it as usual.

10 out of 10, looks amazing.

It's a temporary change, so no need to change the V5 details or tell the DVLA.

I assume you need to notify your insurers though? As changing the colour of the car "as it stands" would increase (or in your case probably decrease!) the risk profile of it being stolen, particularly on an exotic car that could be "stolen to order"?

edit - and as for flaming, none here! I just wish my yellow Fab looked so good, maybe I ought to think about getting it wrapped in a bright yellow like that instead of the lemon yellow I have now :D

Ah, I see!!

From what you'd said previously I know you liked them so guess it was only a matter of time.

Wrap looks excellent and will only serve to protect the car and it's paintwork.

Enjoy.

The following statement is untrue:

Hate R35's

Especially wrapped ones!
