Calling all you new owners...how many miles on collection?

Featured Replies

I can now answer this, since I collected this afternoon. 8 on mine. Now 43, and loving it already!

If you are collecting a brand new car from the dealership ie not delivered, I'd expect to see less than 15 miles. On my last car (Volvo) it had zero as they showed me that you can drive them in service mode and the odometer doesn't register they were quite open about this. If they weren't I'd be a little suspicious if the car had zero miles on it.

I have had a few brand new cars and am always a little trepidatious when I first drive them that something might not be tightened up properly or has been assembled incorrectly, but it does make me feel a little confident that it has been driven a little to make sure that everything is as it should be (not that it ever has been).

Not sure what trepidatious but hope it is covered by warranty!! :hi:

Collected mine today and 9 miles on the clock.

Got mine Friday with 7 miles on the clock.

Sorry for the OT question but speaking of clocks - no km/h marks on the speedo?

Its not needed the car can be recoded for countries where kmh is used or temporarily the maxidot can be enable to display a kmh digital readout

That's good- I'd miss the km/h when driving abroad but don't need it most of the time.
