Highest fuel price in UK ..Probably!

Featured Replies

Just checked our only petrol station in Marlborough Wiltshire

Unleaded .......92.9 per litre

Diesel............98.9 per litre

nobody here buys it, but it does catch out people passing through :(

Is this the highest fuel price in the UK....or do you know better !!!!

Don't know as bad as that, but a "privately run" (as the signs all say  ) BP station on my commute home is charging 89.9 for petrol, and 93.9 for diesel! They can kiss my :moon: Privately run or not, I'm going to use Sainsburys!

Is that 92.9p for regular unleaded? I pay that for BP Ultimate.

Yep ...ordinary common or garden unleaded

It's been over

What a farce... I do hope people refuse to fill up there...

I think higher costs on remote islands in the middle of nowhere can be excused.

All BP's are now privately owned btw. BP only want to supply fuel, we got some cheaper stuff as we were the only one in Crawley at the time. Handy working in a petrol station sometimes.

Thanks Rob though, I'll fill up with Shell's finest at 87.9 in London.

I filled my car up last night just in case this protest gets out of hand but didn't use the Marlborough Garage....it actually pays to drive 7 miles to get fuel

Drove past my local to work Esso this morning in Watford and currently U/L is 81.9 Litre.

Bloody ell thats cheap - even at local supermarkets there charging 83.9 for 95ron (i need to move  watford was it )

Watford it is, its always been cheap at that garage as they are competing with the nearby Asda. Southend is usually quiet cheap to.

That garage has always been extortionate. I used to live in everleigh and drive to cheltenham via Marlborough every day. I never filled up in Marlborough as it was always at least 7p/l more expensive.

I used either the esso up by j15 of the m4, or the one at the end of the Burbage bypass - both of which seemed reasonable value.

Petrol station on Sloane Av ,

I just paid 99.9p for a litre of Shell Optimax, I don't think I can afford to keep doing that, that's day light robbery.

Hi

Except the oil comes ashore at Sullom Voe in Shetland and Flotta in Orkney. Now if it goes South to Grangemouth to be refined, it journeys just as far to the South of England as it does to come back to Orkney.

all the best

Fabia vRS comes tomorrow :D

However, I suspect that fuel stations on remote islands don't get such a high turnover in fuel nor Ginster's products as somewhere in Milton Keynes.

Rob.

You could always buy a boggo derv and find someone to sell you some lovely gas oil if you want to save some pennies... lol

All this does make me very tempted to go down the biodiesel route. A fair bit cheaper. About 70-75ppl including all government taxes.

Ooh and the nice smell of popcorn / chips coming out my milltek :D

Red Diesel is the way forward!

And with far less stoping of traffic I daresay you could get away with it.

I remember getting pulled over once for being on the roundabout ahead of a copper, not giving way to him depsite the fact he was way behind his white line...

Yet yesterday I overtook a panda car after it cut me up and din't hear a peep.

Still we can rest assured that my mate who just got his new Ford Pick up, 5.7l V8 is going to be really sorry.

15 quid to fill it the swine,

But you know what, fine price half the country of the road, I'll go for that, but then take these pesky camera away and put a patrol out....honestly it's worse than scoobie doo out there for police. In the last month I've seen countless camera vans, 1 panda car (clsoe up) 4 motorbike cops chin wagging on a bridge in the middle of nowhere, sorry M65 and thats it.

Maybe they can't afford to fill up there 400BHP Range rover on the M65 anymore either.
