I dont understand why people dont dyno their cars before and after they let a tuner loose of them , any idiot with a laptop can call themselves a tuner nowadays

Both my Octy (Stock apart from K&N) and my Superb (stock ) have both been on the dyno* ,my last daily driver also spent time on the dyno and my Evo LIVES on the dyno :)

*both made a fair bit more than the published 170

The RR was not calibrated on the day i had the map done alright? I also live in Whitby, this is tourist town and 99% of folk would not even know what on is. I know the 230bhp is an esitmate, im not daft, it could be higher or lower.

You should hear mine with the OEM set up, turbo sounds awesome! Ive noticed that the 2.0tdi's are alot quieter then the 1.9tdi's when it comes to the turbo/waste gate. Hardy hear anything on a standard derv vRS but the standard 1.9's had a right whistle to them

Wastegates dont make a noise

just read thro' this and can't see anywhere it says new fuel filter fitted- even recently---- took me a long time to figure that out- despite paying (yes occasionally) a dealer to change it along with an in warranty service Nissan!

Your car will have 215 max Emma with a dpf delete and map , as I said get it rolling roaded, that will highlight if it is your map or not . Claims are just that without a graph

It had a fuel filter about 6k miles ago, my car is serviced way before the intervals

And you figure that out how? Yes agreed it should go on a rolling road to give a read out but its does mean to say it has less. The OEM parts of the car are more then adequate of dealing with the extra power, the reason it has been quoted at 230bhp is due many other 170's he has mapped and they have been bang on the money, my car is very healthy, engine wise, so there is no reason why it should not achieve the figures given.

what did make a difference is turning off the ESP last night, i remember someone said a while ago about torque over load, thus backing up my theory of some form of sensor been the weak link

but is the fact you are reluctant to name your mapper that interests me. have you Actually seen other graphs with a delete and map give those figures. Shark also states 215 look at his web page so it is not like i am just speculating . http://www.sharkperf...2.0TDi PD170/?? I hope you do have those figures, but only if they are safe with not too much bar, and boost
