Hi All,

We've came away for a few days to Slaley Hall near Hexham to find a few inches of snow...

These are the 3 chariots of choice.

Hi All,

This morning I fitted the new short shift kit and verdict linkage bracket bushes.

The OEM shifter.

image_zps79218a0d.jpg

The OEM shifter came off easily without issues.

image_zpsdaa6c924.jpg

image_zpsf787b158.jpg

Then removed the 3 bolts holding the linkage bracket in place.

Old bushes came out after I attacked them with a Stanley blade.

New verdict bush ready to in.

New short shift all in place.

Took her out for a test run and all working as per it should, the gear throw as been shortened quite a lot but all gears engage correctly and just feels a lot nicer to change gear now, You can be a lot more confident with a faster gear change.

I would recommend these two mods

Cheers Craig

Hi All,

Well iv got the sub and amp now so that's this weekends job.

Also ordered some more silicone hoses and a cold side kit to move the DV across in between the throttle body and the intercooler!.

Craig

Don't move the dv !!!!!!!!!

Real good work! :) what sort of difference does the little bushes make?

Don't move the dv !!!!!!!!!

How comes you wouldnt move the DV??

As its best position is as close to turbine as possible further away can induce some lag

Nick at Rtech has done a write up somewhere and what he don't know about 1.8t tuning isn't worth knowing !! Lol

Doh!! Already ordered the kit.... I suppose I can still use the silicone pipe from the throttle body to the intercooler pipe work and just blank off the DV outlet!!

Craig

could do what ive done, leave the dv where it is and feed it to cooler pipe, dunno if its ideal or not lol looks good though :giggle:

Hi All,

Todays job was to fit the new silicone hose from the intercooler pipe to the throttle body...

Head light out to gain more access.

image_zps242d6476.jpg

OEM pipe.

image_zps3bbabdf7.jpg

Where the OEM pipe meets the Forge pipes.

image_zps1a9f2d93.jpg

OEM pipe off.

image_zps4c7cc296.jpg

Throttle body was nice and clean which is always a good sign.

image_zps717f951f.jpg

New pipe in place.

image_zps5c94cbaa.jpg

The new pipe had a slight kink due to it been slightly longer than the OEM one, So I put another jubilee clip round the centre and tightened it up until the pipe was 100% round again!!..

image_zps2a7456f5.jpg

DV blow off pipe hooked up.

image_zps711354f5.jpg

And all finished..

image_zps76336ea2.jpg

Well that's another job done, Next is an oil catch tank to be fitted so if any one has a DIY link to how to hook up the catch tank this would be great cheers.

Craig..
