Trev's Mk1 Fabia vRs

Featured Replies

Bought this 2 months ago completely starrdard, as im a bit pedantic i started making sure everything was tip top before i done anything else,

Changes-

Discs and pads all round,

New brake fluid

Full service including all filters

New console bushes

2 new tyres

New boost pipe

i decided when i bought the car i was going to keep it pretty simple and unmodified but then again i like doing **** to cars so now its got,

Seat sport front brace

Whiteline RARB

Armrest

Decat

Colour coded door handles

Black grill

and a couple of bits and bobs

Plans are to maybe lower it on springs or cheap coilys, paint the bumpstrips on a nice day and a tuning box or remap!

But first things first a lcr splitter!

Will get more pics soon

Elephant mod working well i see, hate to think thatcrap could be going threw my intake!

Also fitted my 4300k hids and got them tested by my mate at kwik fit, he checked the beam pattern, also said they arent quite right but arent bad as who an arsehole would fail me for it, luckily he aint an arsehole.

Will get pics of the car lowered when it settles a bit, got 312mm brakes going on some time this week, green stuff pads and grooved discs! Then rolling road as standard to see what its making before i statt some power upgrades, now that all the suspension is sorted! And it handles well and will brake better!

Comments welcome!

Watching with interest as a fellow silver owner. :) Black splitter with silver goes better than I thought it would in my mind. Off to research about elephants!

Theres a massive step somewhere with a step by step guide!

Only downside is you get some steam commingfrom under neath the car when its cold and wet, looks stupid but meh!

Next-

Heko wind deflectors

Some more leds!

Refurb the alloys!

Looks great so far. When you fitted the Eibach springs did you change anything else suspension related or literally swap old springs for the Eibachs and that was it? Black or anthracite alloys? Will look even better then

  • Author

Cheers mate!

No didnt change anything, just straight spring swap, will need to do bump stops in future!

Erm im going for a subtle sleeper look so will just be glittery silver i think!

Nice and subtle, I like it.

  • Author

once its remapped to 170bhp and 290lbs ft should be a really good sleeper than handles well!

Mines pretty bad, just Thought thats how they were! Another job for the list! Cheers!

  • Author

No Definitely not!

I was getting annoyed at how misty it used to get even when i just sat in the car!

but the pollen filter was damp, hence the mist and was clogged hence the crap air pressure!

Well after loads of searching and looking at reviews, websites, data logs etc i finally purchased 4 205/45/16 uniroyal rainsport 2's from tyre traders.

These are reviewed very well by all that i have spoken to, score 84% ovarall on tyrereviews.com and my mates have them on there 2 evos with more than 400bhp each. So im hoping these give me the grip i want but giving more mileage unlikc the kuhmo ku39's!

I got all four for £259 delivered to my door and my mate will fit them! and with b;ack circle selling them for £95 a corner i figured this price was too good to pass up!

Can I just ask about your Eibachs that you've got fitted. Are they stiffer springs or just shorter ones? Is the ride quite harsh with them now? How much were they to buy and fit?
