Featured Replies

Hi All,

Probably been asked a million times before but:

Just got my Furby vRs on Friday, once she's all bedded in and settled down, which remap is the best????

Anyone driven both? Costs of both? I can get Revo'd for a squid under

Jabbasport remap will be around

Mmmmm Ok, what about power differnces, turning them on/off for servicing etc???

Neither, Custom Code will put the biggest grin on your face, have a look at Josh's graph from the last RR day at JBS:

Forget about peak figures which Jabba and the likes may give you, its all about nice flat lines giving you power right across the whole rev range.

See www.custom-code.co.uk for more information then contact JBS to book your car in!

Have a look using the search facility. This has been covered many times over.

Having said that my torque does peak at nearly 50 lb/ft more than the Custom Code one and has 11 more bhp.

On Who's rollers Hellfire?

Sorry but I dont believe you have 323lbs of torque from just a remap alone.

Look at this thread to compare Revo / Jabba and Custom Code from the recent JBS RR day www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25772&highlight=jbs+day

Note how Jabba's especially and Revo's to some degree have higher peaks then come back down quickly where Josh's Custom Code map is much smoother and carries on pulling right up the revs

here we go again ;)

here we go again ;)

Yep :)

Its just the nature of the topic really but its always better to look at rolling road printouts from a day where various tuned cars were in attendance and not just peak figures.

totally agree Gary.

your never going to get an un biased table of results tho. everyone is always in favour of a certain tuner so i dont think results will ever be 100% fair no matter where you go.

as long as the customer is happy with his or her remap, no matter where they go, you cant go wrong with that!

just my opinion

I reckon kenny has it spot on there - :D

The custom one looks the smoothest at the moment, maybe as it's the most recent code now, hard to say. I don't think the CC 1 will give you the absolute maximum but it seems to give a nice smooth delivery. The Revo & Jabba ones will give you a more peaked delivery perhaps but it will probably be more of a 'kick' when it really goes for it.

Also I have a feeling the CC1 has been tuned in such a way as to cope with the standard clutch limits, whereas Jabba/Revo appear to go > 300 on some maps I've seen. Either way, I'm sure you won't be disappointed :D

You may find a local tuner that is recommended and be very happy with the results too.

Well the only way to compare all 3, would be to test them on the same rollers on the same day!

Garym.......Do you have the results of that RR Day????

What about Cost?????? Revo:

How much is a JBS Remap then?????

How much is a JBS Remap then?????

Have a look at this link I posted a few threads up, all prices are there www.custom-code.co.uk

Its

I'll start by saying i drive an Octy RS, and have spent ages over who's best etc. Having seen/read many a comparison i went the REVO route, this was before JBS done the CC thing. If you search remap etc you will find many a thread covering this subject.

Having seen/driven against Jabba'd cars on trackdays and read about the opomistic BHP figures on Jabba's rollers i felt it was worth spending a little more on Revo, and am well happy with my figures- 219BHP + 218 lb .

The latter being nice and flat.

Hope this helps.

Steve

torque figure looks low mate, mines showing approx 257lbsft torque with power at a rough 220bhp

Thats what i thought, spoke to other at the RR day but my figures were well up on there's. .

Maybe down to Power Engineerings Rollers, as ive been told by many a muppet, 'its what it drives like'.

Err OK.

Still happy.

Steve

What about Cost?????? Revo:

Any tuner can give " enhanced figures " it's easy by dropping atmospheric pressure slightly this gives a massive boost in figures, even ambient temperature has an effect.

The customer pays the money and must defend the spend. Why can't everyone just enjoy the map without slagging of others.

thats what i said earlier :D

**** I typed a large reply earlier today and after i hit the post button the wireless lan went down and I cant remember what I put in.
