Just Ordered This! Fly Eyes Kit

Went for black2. I liked it because it needs no water, can be stretched, unstuck reapplied, hand smoothed no bubbles etc, screwed up and then straightened and still useable.

also because its honeycombed as it were it doesnt actually tint the light itself, it still shows same colour of beam and almost all of the light still gets through. Even if you choose wacky colour it wont affect beam colour or mot's

Watch the video its quite an interesting material, just a quick heat when it s in place to activate adhesive fully.

Will add pics when its done, got new headlights coming so will do it to them

and cheap too! easy to apply?

Do you reckon it will definitely pass mot? I suppose it depends on the tester.

Yes mate, very easy. Better than a film anyday. No bubbles.

Mine looks alot darker from a distance

i went for black 2 which is one off theyre darkest. what did you get?

I wonder what Hammerite's shade of Smooth Green would like on an Octy :strong:

i suspect.......not great, although good in theory

according to mot regs, they cant fail it. if they do quoting the regs would give them food for thought, and they come with a certificate i think showing its standard marks etc

I used this on my rear reversing lights, looks great, and easy to apply too. Got the Lamin-X subtle tint on the front headlights, as I thought the Flyeyes would be too much on them personally. All have just flew through the MOT at a council testing station too with no problems, as have the daylight running lights, so it`s all good

ive got this really good but took ages to come through :/

Worth a punt for the price.

Don't suppose you've got a picture of the headlights? Was looking to do mine with lamin-x but didn't know if it would look too dark against a black car. Sorry for the hijack Lofty.

on ya go pal, i like lamin-x pics

its on back order probably 2 weeks before arrival so i have cancelled it and will make other arrangements

I had fly eyes on my tail lights but found that when I polished or waxed the car the product got stuck in the holes and left a white residue. So I removed them. Looking to go with Lamin-x instead :)

I will try to post pics up soon

I'm sold!!!! Looking pretty sweet.

I tried flyeyes

Looks good from a distance but up close looks tacky

All imo of course

for the price ill give it a bash, but i am expecting it to have drawbacks

I love the ease of application, but I don't think I'd like the honeycomb thing.

I'd love to see some close up shots.

Have you covered the full lights or just the reverse and indicators. Looks really goo and I'm really thinking I doing it in my Red VRS.

I`ve only done the reverse and indicator lights, it`s just enough without looking chavy imo ;)
