Same engine as the 750d I'd guess - although I wouldn't call that sporty! I'd love to see a 130d, but doubt it's gonna happen any time soon!

Next year, gearbox is something that can be sorted, there's one in the r10. What heat issues are you referring to?

Remember those road tests were done in 2008. Reading them at the time I thought it was going into production, however now I realise it never made it (I don't think). I've read Audi dropped the plans for it. :(

The R8 V12 tdi has never been used with all its power. There wasnt a gearbox that could cope with the torque and the engine couldnt be cooled enough.

Look at the big mouth on the Q7 V12, those coolers will never fit in a R8.

They already cropped the plans to put it in production.

Hi, yes the engine when into a Le Mans prototype in 2004 - the team was called Taurus Sports

It was the first diesel entered Le Mans for 50+ years way before the Audi and Peugeots
